Well ya finally got something right. yep............Duh
Challenge
Show me anywhere that talks the top NFL QB;s and Brady isn't number one, THE GOAT
You can't do it.
Yes someday Mahomes will surpass him but not right now.
What do you think Mahomes will do to surpass Tom Brady? Mahomes is great, but to be so matter of fact about him surpassing Brady makes me think you don't grasp the magnitude of what Brady did. There have been several dynasties throughout NFL history, but none of them compare to Brady's 20 year dynasty. That is not going to be so easily matched.
I think a major part of Mahomes success has been due to crazy, natural athleticism allowing him to pull off all those improvised circus plays which is not sustainable as he gets older and teammates change.
The quality that made Brady so much better than everyone else was his leadership. Very unlike Mahomes, Brady understood the importance of never putting himself above the team. You didn't see Tom hawking crap in commercials ever single time you turn on the TV and Tom actually restructured his contract to reduce his pay and cap hit instead of just pushing it to the next year creating an ever greater barrier to sign any decent players.
I remember a backup kicker at Tampa Bay telling the story of his first day in the locker room. As he is feeling extremely uncomfortable sitting in the dark, backup kicker corner, Tom Brady comes up to him, introduces himself and asks how his wife and kids are doing by name. That kind of leadership is what creates the Malcolm Butler miracle interception to win a SB, the 28-3 miracle comeback to win a SB, the Tampa Bay chumps to champs miracle to win a SB.
Great post~~~~
I do think Mahomes is more physically gifted than well everyone, he is the ultimate runner/passer which is big in today NFL, those just stand tall in the pocket days are gone, you better have some mobility and he does.
Haha, Not sure if it is your eyesight, memory, or both that is failing you in your old age, but it makes complete sense now why you think Mahomes is the best QB you have ever seen.I'm an old timer, seen them all since the days of Johnny U, Patrick Mahomes is the best QB I have ever seen, and that hurts being a Niner fan. Yes Mahomes also wins all those SB's if on those same Pats teams while not so sure Brady does the same in KC.
Coaches spend a huge amount of time designing plays. If a QB cannot stand in the pocket and execute the plays they have major problems. That is exactly how Todd Bowles completely snuffed out Mahomes in the SB.
Bowles is known for heavy blitzing but in that game he constantly showed blitz but almost never sent it and didn't need to, due to Mahomes inability to read defenses and lack of confidence to stand tall in the pocket and deliver the play. Since Tampa only needed to rush 4 to force Mahomes to leave the pocket and abandon the play, when he got out there running around trying to make shit up there was nothing there because Tampa had 7 guys in coverage and constant doubles on Hill and Kelce.
Haha, Not sure if it is your eyesight, memory, or both that is failing you in your old age, but it makes complete sense now why you think Mahomes is the best QB you have ever seen.
Mahomes couldn't even begin to understand the complexity of Brady's offense much less execute it. We also don't need to speculate what Brady could do on another team because we saw him at 40+ years old go to one of the worse teams in the league and embarrass Mahomes with it.
All anyone has to do is compare what Mahomes has done in his NFL time in vs anyone else and there is it as plain as day. I am talking the same amount of time.
Look at Mahomes vs Brady or anyome after nine seasons, it's all Mahomes. Prove that wrong.
That QB 40 time has never been more important than ii is right now, now it matters
Look at the last few MVP's, yep ...........mobile QB's, cats who could run.
Yes the days of stand tall in that pocket.....bye bye,
That ability to evade the pass rush extend plays a huge part of what is expected out of these QB's today. Look at the last few SB winners.
Tom Brady had 4 SBs with 3 wins in his first 7 years, faster than Mahomes who took 9. That was actually a major motivation for Brady to beat Mahomes in that SB because if he didn't Mahomes would have been the first to 3peat, having more SB win at that point in their careers and have a head to head win over Brady.
It is all Brady, because he stands tall in the pocket executing the offensive schemes and plays coaches spend day and night building for each game. There is also a reason top offensive lineman make more than most QBs.
Brady mobility the more effective than any of these "running" QBs. Instead of panicking and running away from their protection out of fear of the pressure, Brady would calmly take a couple steps typically forward in the pocket as the pass rushers go behind him while keeping his eyes down field going through the progression to make the play.
Fun fact Brady also has a higher QB sneak success rate than Jalen Hurts while also keeping the ass play off the field.
Well lets see....
Brady...4 pro bowls Mahomes 6, I know fuck a pro bowl
Brady over 64 comp% 1 season, Mahomes 7 seasons
Brady 2 4000 yard seasons, Mahomes 6
Brady 1 over 30 TD seasons, Mahomes with 4
Brady 1 over 100 passer rating, Mahomes with 4
Brady had 2 seasons rushing for over 100 yards, Mahomes had 5 seasons rushing for over 300yards.
Terry Bradshaw won 4 SB Dan Marino never won a SB but who was by far the better QB. So more SBs, no biggie,
So looing at the numbers for the first nine seasons of the career, it;s all Patrick Mahomes, not really close.
Give me a guy who can escape a pass rush and extend plays, that is todays pro football.
Oh! This looks like a fun game, let me try
Brady 1 Super Model Marriage Mahomes 0
Brady 1 Divorce Mahomes 0 (best bet on Mahomes to match)
Brady 6'4" heights Mahomes 6'2" shorts (that one's gotta sting a bit)
Brady 1 Complete embarrassment of Mahomes in a Super Bowl Mahomes 1 Getting completely embarrassed by Tom Brady in a Super Bowl (sometimes you wish you got a 0)
Brady .05 NFL Teams owned Mahomes 0 (that .05 is a lot bigger than it sounds)
Brady 1 Universe without a better football player Mahomes query not valid
Brady 1 ending to a season that is not a failure Mahomes 1
Brady 1 more rings than fellow GOAT Michael Jordan Mahomes not on the list, there is a 7 ring minimum to apply.
Mahomes ain't looking so hot in this game of posting meaningless numbers now is he?
You really think Mahomes looks back on 2021 proud of completion %?
You think Dan "Never Won a SB" Marino thinks his NFL career was more successful than Terry Bradshaw's?
I kinda think we've beaten this Brady v Mahomes chat almost as bad as Brady beat Mahomes.
Do you think Mahomes will even get to the playoffs this year? Their remaining schedule isn't exactly easy and they really need to start showing up as a completely different team from here on out.
It's always been this way. Montana was a scrambler, Brady was a scrambler. If pass protection broke down they'd be scrambling around. All anyone has to do is compare what Mahomes has done in his NFL time in vs anyone else and there is it as plain as day. I am talking the same amount of time.
Look at Mahomes vs Brady or anyome after nine seasons, it's all Mahomes. Prove that wrong.

mahomie is a queer.
fuck him and his gay little head scarf he wears.
All that actually matters is this......
For the first nine seasons of their career (because that's all Mahomes has) Mahomes out played Brady and it wasn't even close, every QB stat there is Mahomes was better.
The numbers don't lie
I only look at the facts and don't care if these guys have sex with goats and howl at the moon, all that matters to me is game day.
If we look at Mahomes career comp % it;s better than Bradys if we look at career passer rating also better than Brady.. Love facts.
I played cornerback, with a Brady back there you can zero/focus on just that receiver you know Brady ain;t taking off, not so with any mobile QB, you must peek back losing total focus, gotta peek back because he might run.
A mobile QB puts far more stress on a D than .......stand tall in the pocket.........cat, a common sense thing.
It;s third and three, there stands Eli Manning, OBVIOUSLY he's not running so fuck that concern, now what if Lamar Jackson is standing there, you better worry about him running. See how it goes?
I confess while I knew Mahomes had the better stats I didnt think it was that dramatic,
Let me make this clear, I don't expect Mahomes to surpass what Brady put up, I don't see him sustaining things, BUT as of right now he is better than Brady at the same stage of the career, not debatable.
I am in the analytics business, numbers lie all the time. The numbers you are posting are actually lying to, you just don't realize it.
The problem with your analysis is you are directly comparing stats 17 years apart. During that time there has been a major upward trend on QB stats across the board due to rule changes heavily favoring offense. You can't give Patrick Mahomes credit for that.
The good thing about this Brady v Mahomes comparison is we don't need to resort to that kind of time travel, extrapolation analysis because we have a significant number of seasons where they played at the same time under the same rules, same conference (mostly), even same games. If you look at those numbers your argument starts falling apart.
There is no significant difference between their individual stats during the years they played together. The rules changes boosted Brady's stats as well even in his old age. The most significant stat during that time is Brady sent Mahomes home a loser every time they faced each other in the post season.
Aaron Rodgers had a live in friend for years.
