Parents kissing kids on the lips yay or nay?

CBCNews is creating controversy over her kissing her daughter on the lips (slow news day).

Now this isn't one of those things I really care too much about one way or another, I do find it a tad creepy though.

I kiss my kids on the cheek or forehead. Not the lips. I don't really have a problem with it though.

Babies will slobber all over you if you kiss them on the lips. That's probably why I didn't do that again.

My parents never kissed me. Like, I don't think either of them has ever kissed me.

I have a 7 month old girl. There is a weird instinct where I give her kisses all the time. I don't kiss her lips though. Cheeks, head and feet are fair game.

It is actually unhealthy to introduce adult bacteria in babies mouth, as it can lead to cavities. lol.

My dentist advises me not to kiss her lips.

Lol at the weirdoes kissing their dogs (one open-mouthed) to show how normal everything should be. Not that either look all that normal.

I find it weird, since I, and most of my countrymen too, associate a kiss on the lips with sexual interest.

I guess it may be a normal thing somewhere, I just can't see it that way.
