Wider skills I may give you that but that's not what you said, though the jury would be out on Cro Cop vs Conor that's for sure. I feel fighters of today are of a much higher level than those of 10 years ago, the sport has evolved a lot.

Wider skills I may give you that but that's not what you said, though the jury would be out on Cro Cop vs Conor that's for sure. I feel fighters of today are of a much higher level than those of 10 years ago, the sport has evolved a lot.

I don’t think so at all. HW is a good example. Number 3 ranked guy admits he doesn’t know how to execute a take down.

A lot of the top 10 guys are around 40 years old and from the older generation.

Khabib may be one of the best wrestlers of all time but he’s extremely one dimensional. Conor is on the other end of the spectrum. We went from extremely well rounded fighters back to extremely specialized fighters.

Well HW is not really a good example to be honest, clearly that's the shallowest division in the UFC.

And Khabib is quite specialised but his wrestling ability is that high he can still get to the elite level, that's how good this guy is. And I think Conor's takedown defence and BJJ is underrated, it's just that he tries to strike at all costs and uses the grappling tools to avoid these situations. There were some really good GIFs someone posted of examples of Conor's grappling ability, i'll have to dig em up.
