Paiva vs Suga Sean thoughts ?

I haven't ever seen Paiva fight that I can remember. What is his fighting style? What's he good at? I kinda expected him to be another sacrificial lamb to Sean. He's good?

Pretty good everywhere, but he gets hit too easily. He can take a damn punch though and push a pace, and he is a legit black belt that's not afraid to shoot for takedowns if he needs to.

If Paivia can take the fight past 7-8 minutes I could see his pressure & pace eventually breaking Sean. I also think his length can play a factor, O'Malley is use to beating much shorter guys.

Feels 50/50, odds are WAY too wide

He's the livest dog since Chito for sure. And he's tough. This isn't just a walk in the park by any means.

Paiva is really tough and isn’t easy to beat for anyone in the division. That said, Paiva is outclassed on the feet and probably has a real reach disadvantage (haven’t looked the stats up yet).

O’Malley had a chance of breaking down here again since Paiva will keep coming and absorb some serious damage if needed. Maybe he injured his foot again or something

i dont think anybody has ever seen paiva fight or knows anything about him, but we all want him to win

Does he choose to be a can crusher or is it some weird ufc strategy? Can't they give him someone in top 15?

Sean is carefully cherry-picking his career by fighting smaller guys that are good style matchups for him so he can style on them and get highlights/bonuses. He is basically trying to make it so fans tune in to see him only, and the opponent is irrelevant, hence fighting a no-name on a Conor PPV rather than a UFC level replacement fighter.

His cherry-picking only backfired with Vera, and notice since then he’s been taking even smaller opponents who aren’t known to have knockouts.it’s unfortunate cause he’s probably decent fighter but is making himself look like a clown by ducking real fights. He had a similar hype as Khamzat at one point yet still hasn’t fought a ranked opponent.

this Paiva fight is more of the same, no it’s not a step up or a big test, it’s another short guy that could almost be in 125 that he’s going to height/weight bully.

You'll never get a fair or objective take on anything regarding Sean O'malley on sherdog

another undersized and overpowered matchup for the DWCS hype train...
<DisgustingHHH>

MVP of UFC

I hope the shitshow comes to an abrupt halt

I think "beat" is a strong word. That fight was definitely a draw IMO.
Yeah Kyler faded late, but he was definitely kind of working paiva over in the first rd. Even looked like he wanted to quit between rds.

It's absolutely wild that the first round wasn't scored 10-8.
