An older Kylo Ren portrait I did. I used a grid for this and then played with the proportions. There is a lot wrong with it but it isn't too bad. I need to do more grayscale stuff.

Really cool!
Do you know how to apply color over grayscale with the gradient map stuff?

Yeah, I always feel that painting over greyscale makes your colours look muddy, doing studies in greyscale is a good way to learn about values though.

I did this exercise of drawing the muscles of a dude from the manga Kengan Omega, also looking at google pics of muscles and bodybuilders.

Looks like the average Sherbro :p

I'm working on anatomy too. Do you use Prokos Youtube channel? it's great for that stuff.

I haven't seen much of Proko's anatomy stuff yet, i'm using more google images as reference. Videos i watched more of Robert Marzullo and David Finch.

Ah cool, I like David Finch I've been watching some of his stuff recently. I haven't watched much of Marzullo though I'll check him out.

Proko's stuff can be a bit too detailed but I kind of like that too.

From the time on i started with the cape until i was finished it took me 43 hours.
In total it's probably been around 65 or more, i just didn't count the time early enough, lol.

This is awesome, great work on the textures. I bought a pack of uni Pen fine liners a couple of months back and looking at the 0.1 it's crazy that you did that with that size of a pen. <Eek2.0>

Great work bro.

Thank you a lot man!

These fine liners are great, though the ones below 0.1 mm are naturally a bit sensitive, since the tip is so thin.

The completely black surfaces i did with thicker fineliners (maximum 0.8 i think) but aside from the parts where complete black went into dark grey (used 0.3 at some parts) it was always 0.1 and sometimes 0.03 and f*ck me did they take long and were they monotonous...

But there's unfortunately no other way if you're using dotwork only for dark grey or light black areas, lol.

That said, i saw a guy on instagram who used something aching to a tattoo machine that automatically went up and down very fast, making it easier to do that stuff both fast and accurate.

Sounds like a lot of work bro. I know that you can get brushes in Photoshop and Clip Studio that replicate stippling but they never look right and couldn't replace doing it all individually.

And it always looks way better on paper anyway.
