News Paige VanZant reveals mental health struggles after latest loss: ‘Everyone expects me to lose

Get used to it, boys! This is the new normal. Young people have little to no resiliency. Any bad thing send them to social media to beg for empathy, which their "followers" give in spades.

Anything bad that happens gets the "mental health" excuse. Osaka, Biles, etc. This is the victim culture we are privileged to live in. Fortunately, it's mainly a female issue, but it is bleeding into males too.

Not saying mental health is a joke, just it used to be reserved for serious issues and now it's thrown around willy-nilly as a copout.

Unlike Paige, Austin actually has fighting skills and it is a decent top 10 MW at Bellator. But you're delusional if you think he will beat Mousasi
I just said he'll need his arm in full health to fight Mousasi. I don't know that that's debatable, I don't think many people think he could beat Mousasi with an injured arm.

I don't know if he will but it could happen. I'm leaning towards Mousasi but I'm undecided, I wouldn't put money on it I just am rooting for Austin.

Be careful. I got yellowed a few times for using the B word with wmma fighters. Theres a few white knight mods that are snowflakes on this forum.
Lol, you lieeeeeee.....you got that yellow for robbing a bank........I seens it with my own dang eyes!!!! Lol

Has she noticed she's losing her looks too?

“When I walked out of the ring, I didn’t just walk to my locker room, I literally walked all the way outside and I just went and cried in the parking lot by myself,” VanZant revealed on her new video blog series. “I said some things to my husband that are pretty terrible about like my mental state.

“I told him I didn’t want to live anymore, that this wasn’t for me anymore. Like life wasn’t for me anymore so I was disappointed, It was hard.”

That title quote is not a sign of mental illness. That's a sign of mental stability because it is true.

This is what happens when you care what other people think.

You never want to hear someone is that depressed, but this is what comes with taking shortcuts. She is unbelievably lucky to have made the money she has with her level of skill, and then making money sexualizing herself... nothing wrong with it, but it's a shortcut that usually comes with a lot of negativity. She basically wants to be rich, famous, and have everyone love her lol... pretty tough to feel sorry for her.
Damn, don't want to like this but it's true

what value is there in doing this? let alone to a person you dont know and likely will never meet. all it does is skew your perspective to be more negative than empathetic.

i could understand to a degree if someone you actually interact with claims to be depressed and is some how expecting something from you to help them. but this situation has literally zero consequence for you.
Because I like to live in reality, I wouldn't go on her IG, or in-person question someone's depression, but on an anonymous internet forum she will never read I think it's okay to speculate on these things. She is pretty close to my age, and I know the mentality

You don't even sound like you disagree, you just think someone's depression should never ever be questioned under any circumstance, this is very common thinking in 2021 unfortunately

Everyone expects me to lose ? I guess that's why she was the favourite to win as high as -400.

She should stop instawhoreing herself for one and stop thirst trapping for attention.

People think they are so empathetic and nice, but don't understand being overly empathetic is not nice, it hurts people in the long run

Shortcuts how? She was at the same skill level as everyone else in the UFC when she was there?

It's not all that tough to feel sorry for her when she's dealing with suicidal thoughts....mental health issues impact everyone irrespective of where you're at in life. I personally find her a bit annoying but I hope she feels better soon...she's been through a lot
her skill level wasn't there, she was far more concerned about being famous. made promises about shaving her head to get followers and never followed up.

she is more famous than any current ufc female fighter and her skill level and toughness is miles below the level.

Of course everyone expects you to lose when you always lose. She got the push because she is much better looking than other fighters and 85% of the women's division is really poor so far.

her big fuck up and yet where she made her fame is through only fans and shut like that. (nothing wrong with it) however the wwe route is completely closed to her so if she wants to continue to live her lifestyle she has to either take brutal beatings in the ring or get involved in more and more hard-core porn.

it's a tough road bless her, however the writing was on the wall years back. She knew it, her family and friends knew it.

celebrity is a very hard road especially when you arent respected as a genuine talent.

alot of z level celebrities who make a chunk of change on only fans are gonna pop up with serious mental health issues in a couple years and I'm sure you can add ridiculous plastic surgery to their liss of woes

Who knows, but honestly in 2021 so many people cry mental health, and depression it's hard to take seriously. If she really is depressed she should seek real help, not just victimizing herself online.

If she really is depressed she should seek real help, not just victimizing herself online. - it's true!!!

Real person in severe depression!

a person in depression has no desire for anything, he/she doesn't even have the strength to create an OnlyFans, isolates himself from the whole world, it's sad.

These days we have attention seekers.

What a crock of shit.

I dealt with depression working almost 3,000 hours a year for a couple straight years. Clinical manifestation of depression is not uniform, especially across genders and professions.

I don't mind people questioning her depression but it's real shit how if you talk openly about your depression the automatic response from a ton of people is "attention seeking" or "soft." It's exactly why I just drank myself half to death to cope instead of addressing it.

I hope she does get help and I hope her financial success continues.
