Mental illness or mental health problems used to actually mean something. Now it is just watered down to mean "I am feeling sorry for myself." I imagine it is also much easier for pretty girls like Paige who are given so many advantages in life just for being pretty. I just said he'll need his arm in full health to fight Mousasi. I don't know that that's debatable, I don't think many people think he could beat Mousasi with an injured arm.

I don't know if he will but it could happen. I'm leaning towards Mousasi but I'm undecided, I wouldn't put money on it I just am rooting for Austin.

The push she got, and the money that came soon enough, after her win over Curran could be called a shortcut. And I think it's safe to say that she was at the skill level of girls around the bottom of the top 15 range, maybe even lower.

She got by early by the pace she pushed rather than her skills, it's why Rose was able to pick her apart and Waterson sent her packing in less than a round. Those two were the best fighters she fought and both showed she didn't belong.

If you got the opportunities and money handed to you, would you have said "no, thanks"? It wasn't all her fault.

Now that she has other ways to make money, she should reconsider getting punched in the face for a living.

I think she takes her training serious and showed alot of heart. I think some of these people with "mental problems" need to put things in perspective. Some people have to choose whether to eat or pay bills or figure out where they are going to sleep daily. The whole social media thing is just toxic in general. You can make a ton of $$, but have to deal with a lot of BS. I wouldn't mind seeing paige fight again, her last fight was pretty entertaining at least

On what planet did you live? All I remember mental health meaning over the last twenty years is that you were "crazy" and all the associated stigmas. And the cure for depression being "go outside," and the cure for PTSD being "get over it, move on." Meanwhile there's 45,000 suicides a year. I don't know what "meant something" means per se, but if a few people get to coddle their own feelings so that people with legitimate self-harm and functionality risk get help for once, I'm not that upset about it, albeit I get your gripe.

I formed opinions about the Olympic chick, but it was also hard to tell fact from fiction with all that. My understanding is that she was molested by that one doc Nassar, so wouldn't be surprised if she had some fucked up MH issues or personality problems in general, up to and including feeling sorry for herself

This. Plus. as a society, I think technology has surpassed our ability to deal with technology and the negatives that come along with it, if that makes sense. People are much more famous than they use to be on average.
