Good thought, but these guys have always been several weight classes apart. Although it would be #1 and #2, I don't think you'd see an accurate display of their relative skills because of the size advantage.

That's too big a jump. I don't even like Pac at 135 (at least until I've seen him). He's strong for sure, but taking shots from guys that walk around at 170 is different altogether.

Pacman should stay at 130. That is his ceiling in my opinion. All the top ten at 135 looks a little too much. Even the spent Casamayor... I'll take him over Pacquiao. (head butt, head butt, low blow, forearm) Cuts put Pacquiao in much distress.

no way. Didn't Pac start his career at like 108? Both of these guiys have grown up and settled into their man weights. If pac concievably moved to 140 and Floyd came down to 140 and they met, well, i don't think it would be a good night for the Pac Man. But this fight would never get made, hopefully

Seriously though I wouldnt say its impossible as the Big names always seem to Gravitate to each other. Pacman is fearless and Floyd would obviously accept a fight from a smaller man.

What are they atm 130-147. Maybe Manny will contine stepping up collecting belts all the way to Welterweight in a Duran style masacre!

Floyd would win though due to the size.
If they were the same size though I think Manny would win thats why he's my #1 p4p fighter.

Edit: BTW, I heard a rumor that Mayweather might be fighting Oscar De La Hoya again... I ask(other than it would be a huge moneymaker) why? Given the right build up, I think Pacquiao/Mayweather could be just as big of a moneymaker...

I don't see it happening, at least not this year. PacMan already has a full plate, fighting David Diaz in June and then a "homecoming" bout in Macao sometime in the fall (probably contingent on a W against Diaz). DLH/Floyd 2 is the last proposed fight of DLH's "retirement campaign." It's only going to happen if he beats Forbes in May (?), and then wins another fight after that.

i think pacman might loose a little power from moving up in weight....but i see oscar being a little venerable to pacmans southpaw in and out style..then again oscar might just bully him around and make him fight with him....either way cant wait...hopefullt this isnt gonna be another "fight to save boxing"
