i dont believe you watched the fight. It is also alot easier to score 2-3 rounds correctly, especially if one or two of them has someone controlling the ground, which is a lot easier to differentiate than JMM and pacmans fight last night.

ridiculous to see people saying "highway robbery" and shit like this tool.

how can you even complain about "boring contests" in the same thread about JMM and pacman.

it was a great fight, with close rounds, and it ended up with a close decision. You people need to stop complaining and saying close, split decisions are highway robbery.

a robbery is casamayors last fight, not this one. So shut it.

I never said anything about highway robbery or anything like that. I did mention bad decision, because in my eyes-and most others-it truly was a bad decision. And I agree-there was nothing boring about this fight. Yes, its been a great time for boxing with some great fights, but for every fight like this, you get average heavyweights being paraded around as future greats (Sam Peter last weekend). I consider myself a somewhat knowledgeable fight fan but one thing I think we can agree on is this: there are far too many bad decisions in boxing. I am a fan of MMA and boxing equally-But I think of the Casamayor fight, the Demetrius Hopkins v Steve Forbes bad decision, and it angers me because it contributes to the illusion that boxing is a corrupt sport.

i had Pacman by a point but there were alot of close rounds that could have went either way..

how was is a bad decision? if it were Marquez who won there still would be people saying the opposite. it was a close close fight that warrents descusion but not people screaming bad decision.........i could have seen going either way. and i would not have been upset if Marquez won.

Those two fights you talked about were bad decisions. and you put this fight with them? WOW

you should be angry at yourself for saying it was a bad decision. your contributing to the illusion that boxing is a corrupt sport. if you were really a boxing fan you would have seen how close this fight was and how difficult some rounds were to score......LOL.....a fight that was razor thin is a "bad decision". that does not make sense.....

Will everyone quit bitching about this? One of the judges admitted to scoring the bout 10-7 in favor of Pacquiao instead of 10-6 for the three knockdowns in their first fight. Had he done it correctly, Pacquiao would've won their first encounter. I don't see anyone bitching about that.

This fight was too close for anyone to scream robbery.

Thats Right! I Agreed!:icon_chee

oh please... marquez should be in a barrio hospital right now lying in a comma if that 3rd round have continued... look guys, the decision could have gone either way..

Manny won by landing a pretty much equal amount of punches that did substancially more damage. The end.

Pac should have gotten the dec the first time, glad he got the nod this time.

I hope they rematch and Marquez wins that though, then they'll have to be a 4th fight. I hope that one's a draw, let em fight forever lol.

the rematch is gonna have to be at 135

As a Filipino, I was happy that Pacquiao won. However, I was not totally happy with the decision because it opens up too much doubt again as to who the real winner was. I think this was the fight that deserved the draw. I myself even thought that Marquez won the fight. It was just lucky that Manny was handed the decision. Everyone I was watching was surprised that Manny won when he was completely out boxed by Marquez. We all thought he was going to lose. The fact that he won was a pleasant surprise, but us Filipinos dont want him to win by just eking out a win. Or being a recipient of a favorable decision from a judge. We hate it that the win is debatable and open to debate. After the fight, I was prepared for a Manny loss and did not feel bad about it. He did not do enough to win that fight and if Marquez won, I wouldnt have felt bad about it. I was hoping for a draw at least so that we could see another fight between the two. Manny should really give Marquez a rematch so we can get a 3rd fight to decide who is really the best at 130. IMO Manny won the 1st fight and Marquez won the 2nd.

Everyone saw JMM winning that fight, they just too stupid to admit it, Marquez out classed Manny all the fight, saying other wise is stupid....

All Manny had was his ko power but the boxing was made by Marquez throughout the fight....

Not accepting that Marquez was the better boxer that night is very low

In retrospect, maybe it was a mistake that I called it a bad decision but, IMO, Marquez won. Yes it could have gone either way, but in my eyes-and most others-Marquez won.

I apologize if my mexican blood got the best of me!

Not a robbery. Both fought hard and gave a good showing. Pacman won by ONE point. Both had similar punch stats.

We can argue all you want, but not accepting that Marquez was the better boxer that night is very low

the decision could have gone either way..it depends on the judges..the 2 judges prefer the aggressive and the quality power punching of pac the other judge prefers the more skillful classic out boxed counter punching of marquez.. boxing changed a lot these days more and more judges prefer the aggressive type of fighters..if its the case of the new skool vs the old skool then thats it.

- end of the thread here, no one should post after me -
