Pacman vs JMM

I think Lampley mentioned that there is a rematch clause if JMM wins. Does anyone know whether this is still good if Pac wins? Either way, great win for Pac. If JMM wants a rematch, he has to jump on it now. He might have been in a much better position if he hadn't backed out of the previous opportunity at a rematch. At this pace, JMM will be 38 when Pac-JMM3 comes around. Ridiculous.

there was only a clause if JMM wins, none if Pac won

Pac will go up to 135 no matter what now, so if it happens it'll be at 135

the only reason this thread is still going is cause so many people not just mexicans but boxing fans feel outraged by the decision

+1. I watch these fights, see the bad decisions, and I always tell my father the same thing-THIS is why MMA is taking out boxing. Bad decisions, boring contests, PPV ripoffs. It sucks because I never enjoyed anything as much as I did arguing with my father and grandfather about boxing. damn shame.

i dont believe you watched the fight. It is also alot easier to score 2-3 rounds correctly, especially if one or two of them has someone controlling the ground, which is a lot easier to differentiate than JMM and pacmans fight last night.

ridiculous to see people saying "highway robbery" and shit like this tool.

how can you even complain about "boring contests" in the same thread about JMM and pacman.

it was a great fight, with close rounds, and it ended up with a close decision. You people need to stop complaining and saying close, split decisions are highway robbery.

a robbery is casamayors last fight, not this one. So shut it.

also, to further make my point. Look at the hopkins/taylor fights. A lot of people think hopkins won with slick moves and counterpunching and making taylor miss a lot. Some people say taylor won for being more aggressive and throwing more, and landing more.. although maybe not as effective as hopkins.

it is all what you life, and close decisions like that are alright, because people have different opinions. It isnt like this was 117-111 or some crazy shit.

very close fight..at first i thought marquez won decisively, but after watching it the second time around i guess it really could have gone either way..i suppose the knockdown made the difference for pacquaio,he landed fewer but it was the more telling blows..

dinamita showed a lot of heart after going down,he really has amazing counter punching and timing..pacman on the other hand has shown improved defence, his speed and power has always been his advantage but i think people really overlook his chin,he got caught by a lot of great shots but he just kept coming back..

hopefully a third one would stop all these controversies, but it seems they wouldn't have any rematch in the future..either way props to both fighters, they gave us another great and exciting fight..

Last nights bout was no ripoff, by the way stop listening to the UFC mouthpieces like Rogan, MMA is not taking out boxing. And before you pull out PPV buys and gate sales keep in mind those are just for the US

I like MMA as much as anyone, but I'd rather watch Marquez and Pacman any day of the week.

Actually, feel free to pull out even domestic ppv buyrates.

Just because a fight is close doesn't mean it's a robbery. It means it's close and there are going to be varying opinions on it. Nothing more, nothing less. Personally, I can't wait to watch this one for myself so I can jump in on the complaining. By all accounts, this is the new frontrunner for FotY.

well, i just got to watch it when i got home this morning and personally, i gave it to Marquez by a point. But waaaaaaaaaaaaay too close and waaaaaaaay to good of a fight to discredit either of them by calling it a "robbery." Great fight, i understand the decision although the 115 scores were fucking ridiculous

the scoring was good. depending how one judged the fight, i could see it going either way(just as well it could of been a draw). great fight. sure it had action(it really was a technical fight), but what made this fight special was the edge of the seat drama and suspense throughout the whole twelve rounds. pacquiaos power and overall superior atheltisicsm against marquez's ring smarts and come from behind grit.

People screaming robbery should really STFU, it makes them and the sport look stupid. When I watched the fight live I had Marquez by a point, watching it again I had Pac by a point. A close decision for either or a draw is very reasonable, there are four rounds that were very hard to score.

Sucks to be the Marquez bros. Both lost very close split decisions that could have easily gone their way, but didn't. Also, why all the bitching about Jaun Manual being robbed, but nobody saying Rafael got robbed, even though I saw alot of people having Rafael up over Vasquez? Maybe its because Rafael/Vasquez wasn't considered a "big" fight (which is sad) and it's alright for a Mexican to beat a Mexican.

Anyway, I'm not really interested in seeing a third Juan Manual/PacMan fight or a fourth Rafael/Isreal fight (because I just don't see anyone being a clear winner and we'll have a six or seven fight series and broken fighters in the end.) But if I was a heartless promoter, I would put Rafael/Vazquez as a direct undercard match to Jaun Manual/PacMan. That way, Jaun Manual/PacMan brings more viewers to watch how awesome Rafeal/Vasquez is and we have two guaranteed badass fights.

LOL Lederman is wack, awsome fight I thought Marquez won but it could have gone either way

The judge who had it 115-112 for Pac, gave the 12 round to Pac. What does that tell you about his scorecard?

Will everyone quit bitching about this? One of the judges admitted to scoring the bout 10-7 in favor of Pacquiao instead of 10-6 for the three knockdowns in their first fight. Had he done it correctly, Pacquiao would've won their first encounter. I don't see anyone bitching about that.

This fight was too close for anyone to scream robbery.
