Ugh I’ll rip my bandaid off and say Tony. I’m a fan not a Stan but I’ll admit he has been over hyped. That being said I still love his fights and the time he has given us.


Ps it’s almost never the fighters themselves that are to blame it’s normally us who over hype things. Unless their shitty people like that Able guy or Conors elderly abuse antics.

PPs I’m pretty sure all the Khamzat stuff is a meme at least on Sherdog, because I think you guys(I won’t say myself because I’m very new and very young) have a better understanding of the game and are frankly probably more jaded to hype lol.

? It’s a genuine question because both posters I mentioned are notorious for posting about eastern bloc fighters particularly those from Dagestan which is a majority Muslim country. I’m asking if their biases are because of National, religious, or ethnic reasons or if it’s a joke.

It’s the same if someone was just constantly spamming about fighters from Samoa, or Nigeria, Hindu fighters. I’m trying to figure out if their repeated and exaggerated affection for fighters of those demographics are for a reason like inherent bias, trolling, or if it’s genuine which I suppose could be true but both have a reputation as shitposters.

well now i just look like a total dickhead shit . in all seriousness theres absolutely a bias among muslim fans for muslim fighters understandably like brits for their boxers . If he is doing a gimmick it aint clever satire cause there are totally people exactly like him

I would say the only reason I ask that with those two in particular is just how much they post, like I don’t actually think I’ve ever seen them post about something other than fighters in that demographic in a positive manner they post plenty of negative stuff toward fighters outside of that democratic(mainly Conor) so it just made me curious and I was asking some of the older members who might know.

One clarification it’s perfectly fine to support fighters you identify with or inspire you, I do that with Whittaker all the time. It’s that those two in particular seem to post exclusively positive sentiment towards that demographic and not really anything negative.

It would be like if you post exclusively about how great Brazilian fighters are but don’t call out the fighters that have done awful things like Palhares because they are Brazilian.

But then again it could just be shitposting.

if i was to guess id think its sincere but thats the thing with shitposting you have plausible deniability no way to tell if its a bit or not . They sure do emulate Muslim super fan well though if its fake . Just how sports fans are especially MMA people got to live vicariously through fighters its the same mentality as Dana White reply guys . They'd never say anything negative about ali abdelaziz whose the closest to Ramzan Kadyrov and that hole problematic shit show. As a side note Whittaker bless .

Holland ,with 5 wins in 7 months and that nasty jacare ko to top it off, id say definitely deserves some hype. At least he's built it all himself through frequently fighting and winning against fairly talented opposition.
Khamzat has fought three times this year( most active fighter ever according to some doggers) against two regional level fighters, one a short notice lightweight, the other is Gerald, tall bout a deer in the headlights lol. Just waiting for that punch to land so he can stop hearing kzats shit version of the eagles trash talk.
