Overrated movie you've ever seen?

Civil War and The Revenant were just straight up boring movies.

I don't know what it is for me or why I dislike them so much. I love fantasy stuff like Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones but I hate comic book movies. When it comes to specifically comic book movies I can't seem to do the whole suspension of belief and think its all dumb. Maybe because comic book movies take place in the "real" world? Maybe I am just a jaded dude? I don't know. I was dragged along to see Deadpool and I liked that one but the rest of them I just really dislike.

Same here. I was talking to friends about this the other night but as an adult, the thing that gets me are powers that aren't physical or can't be tied to "realism". Wolverine's a mutant, but I can get behind his power of healing and regeneration. Now why Storm can manipulate weather and Cyclops shoots laser beams from his eyes? There's just no rhyme or reason.

Also can't stand that the stories are so generic and play to the lowest common denominator (obviously for money, but still). Good guy enjoying life, new threat (though he isn't really threatening), good guy struggles a bit but prevails in the end, now the real reason the theater is full: end credit scene. In that regard, I wanted to like Civil War and will give the new Thor movie a chance since it's supposed to have elements of World War Hulk in it.

District 9....Too dark and political, depressing not fun.

And I am just not a fan of:
The Host---Imfeel like I'm watching the wrong movie based on the praise and reviews. It's stupid.

Old Boy---See above

Drive was recommended by most on here and it just wasn't that great to me. I remember getting hounded that I "didn't get it", no I got it and I wasnt emtertained.

Kingsmen was another, movie tried too hard to be cool and I found myself rolling my eyes often.

Leaving Las Vegas. Totally depressing and Cage did not look like any lush I know, way to fit and health looking.

Watchmen. Too much hype that didn't meet my expectations.

What about you my fellow Sherdoggies?

Why do people keep thinking this movie over rated? The movie rated very meh with critics but managed to get a lot of praise for being underrated.

I think a perfect example of over rated film is sausage party. It bored me to death.

Donnie Darko

Not nearly as thought provoking as people claim it to be.

big lebowski. didnt even make it through the whole thing.

in before "its just like my opinion man."

Definitely The Dark Knight.

Heath Ledger is nothing short of amazing. Everything besides him is just blah and it completely falls apart once he is out of the film.

Tom Hardy was the best part of the movie.

Holy shit yes. Everyone was giving it 9/10 ratings on sherdog. It was entertaining I guess, but not to that extent.

Another one that retarded sherdoggers were giving 10/10 ratings to was that recent low budget western, Bone Tomahawk. Watched it and was like..

Star Wars. All of them. By all means they're not bad movies, but they are even close to deserving the hype they generate.
