Over the hill BJ did much better against prime Nick than prime Conor did against Nate. Nick>Nate

that's some outer space MMath right there.

Over the hill BJ, is that like the second cousin of Motivated BJ?

I could hardly recognize BJ's face after that fight.

I still can't get over Rory Macdonald calling out BJ after that fight.

BJ has better chin than Conor, but I agree Nick is better than Nate.

BJ Penn was hell of a boxer. Unfortunately not very athletic and not very well prepared for most his fights.

Conor is athletic and comes in prepared. Prime BJ Penn submits him most likely as well. McG simply underestimated that fight. Came in with the wrong strategy and when faced adversity kinda folded.

I agree with everything except athletic.

Maybe after Conor lose Vs Edgar or Aldo in th rematch.
& BJ get out of trouble we could see that fight.
But even with BJ at Jack/Wink, he is way past his prime. Conor UD.

The only fight I would love for BJ now
Penn Vs Gomi 3

I'm steering clear of this thread; I've been admittedly confusing Nick with Nate too often. If only their mother has named Nate something else, like Percy, or Jimmy

This is the flip side of Conor-lover-reaching. Like some junkie rummaging around for something, anything to prolong the high. Aldo lost TS, move on.

I don't think he was trying to say Nick > Nate bc BJ did better vs. Nick than Conor did vs. Nate, but rather it looks even worse for Conor that BJ did better vs. Nick BECAUSE Nick is > Nate.

MMAmath, the math where every answer is wrong

I don't remember BJ looking good in that fight at all.

And I love the dude.

I agree with everything except athletic.

When I refer to athletic I generally mean someone like GSP, Frankie Edgar - fast, strong guys who are in teriffic shape every time you see them.

BJ was super talanted in both boxing and BJJ. However him and the Diaz bros are simply not very athletic. Compare Nate to RDA and see the difference - if compared Nate's boxing and BJJ to RDA's I wouldn't say the latter is better. He is simply wayy more athletic.

Actually I would add that what makes the difference between RDA and guys like Pettis, Melendez, Josh Thompson etc is not the technique. It is the athleticism - what RDA shuts other fighters down with is the fact that he is faster and stronger than most of the division. Plus he obviously has a very big heart. But that's just like my opinion, man

Also, BJ got tagged by Nick for 3 rounds and didn't shoot for a takedown.

And Nick is bigger than Nate, while BJ is smaller than Conor.

LW Goat status secure.

BJ looked like he had just been in a car-wreck after the fight
