Sanders to face Jones!
Welterweight Germaine Sanders will box unbeaten Mike Jones in the scheduled eight-round co-feature on Friday evening, March 28, at the Seneca Alleghany Casino & Hotel. The 10-round junior middleweight main event pairs Kassim Ouma against Cornelius "K9" Bundrage. This marks the first-ever boxing card at the Seneca Alleghany Casino. Sanders, whose 27-5 record includes 17 K0s, was training for a potential March 29 fight in Germany when he got the call Monday that Gilbert Venegas, Jones' original foe, was AWOL. Jones has knocked out all 12 of his opponents. This will be Jones' fifth scheduled eight-round fight. He has never gone beyond the fifth round as a pro. Ouma-Bundrage and Jones-Sanders will be televised by ESPN2 as part of its popular Friday Night Fights series. The TV card starts at 9 p.m. while the first of seven live fights begins at 7.45 p.m.
