OSP's current situation the definition of a puncher's chance?

I can't see him doing anything significant to Jones in the grappling department, he got dismantled by Glover.

I can't see him outstriking Jones in a technical manner, and he will not come into this fight the more "athletic and explosive" fighter. He might be more active in the first few minutes, but Jon can turn up the heat and match him, unlike some of OSP's previous competition.

I just can't see any path to victory for OSP outside of the fabled puncher's chance. Which sucks because while he is getting a title shot, he ultimately is being served up to Jon by the UFC as a relatively easy win.

I agree totally...but what does this mean?

he will not come into this fight the more "athletic and explosive" fighter.

I know what it usually means, I just don't know what you mean in this context?

OSP obviously has that insane fast twitch muscle fiber shit going on, and even in matchups where he is outskilled, he is usually the more explosive fighter. I don't think this will be the case when he fights Jon

Ah OK, if Jon's on point and doesn't suffer from a layoff then I don't think there's very many people we could give the edge to over him.

Not a fan of his behaviour but I acknowledge a gifted talent when I see it

This, on paper at least, is a complete tune up fight for Jon that will be added to his highlight reel to hype up the title shot when it comes along.

Good to keep him busy though i guess and its a match up someone like OSP could use to become relevant, just not sure people should have to pay to see it....

He will have the athletic advantage, but Jones will bully him anyway
