Once Salido saw up close how sharp JMM'S counter punching was he shelled up. Lol at him "attempting to make marquez lead" that's hogwash.

Well, that was the way to beat JMM before and after Salido fought him so I don't see why it's so hard to believe.

^Because it's much easier to assume cowardice on Salido's part (which is REAL hogwash) if HBO commentary suggests that once Marquez displayed his super-human fighting ability, Salido suddenly was the victim of ball-shrinkage.

I prefer to give Salido the credit the guy deserves after facing pretty much everyone in every weight he's fought at who was considered dangerous and would get in there with him. He's not a good enough or sure enough counter-puncher to beat Marquez (Chris John barely was, and he was at the top of the game at it then), but it was a much more sound strategy than to walk right at Marquez like guys like Jandaeng did, and ended up unconscious.

P.S. - To describe Salido as "shelled-up" for the majority of that fight is the surefire sign of someone who didn't actually take the time to watch it. Because he was absolutely not that.
