[Opinion] Gane proves A level athlete hypothesis

Oh, gosh, it's the "A-level athlete" thread again. I love these, and have for many years now. Gane hasn't proven anything yet, and he isn't even "A-level," or he would be playing football or basketball. Those guys, as someone else has pointed out, don't have the toughness for combat sports. Also, most of them are uncoordinated goofs who couldn't time a punch, much roll with one. Thanks for bringing us your unique insight, TS. Gane is A level. You have to be delusional to not think that. Ngannou and Jones are also A level. Jones brothers are A level. Jones just choose MMA and Gane did not care for football or basketball and American football is not played in France.

HW is the worst division in every Combat Sport there is, i really dont care, i'm not unitedstatian.
Yeah but you have to accept no Thai would have a chance against Rico, Saki, Hoost, etc.

Well, at least mma being a barefoot sport, it preserves the feet way better than basketball awful shoes

basketball shoes dont do that to your feet. breaking your toes and playing through them will do that

How many pro athletes have siblings? Most of em. How many of these siblings are also professional level athletes? The odd one, here and there.

Having an athlete brother does not make a person an athlete. Maybe it goes tye other way, maybe Jon's brothers snaked all the athletic genes and left him the eye poking and pulsing genes?

If MMA is a sport then its fighters are athletes. Guess who is the greatest LHW of all time in this sport, Jon Jones; thus making him an A level athlete in MMA.

The way his toes are cramped together with no splay seems to be a signal of tight toeboxes

Jones himself said he sucked at ball sports but he was good at wrestling.

Gane played soccer and Basketball when he was younger.

To an extent, at least. He is a tremendous athlete that could have played any sport. Basketball, soccer, football. Yet he chose muay Thai at a fairly advanced stage in his life, and now he's fighting for the HW belt. He clowns everyone in the division besides the other A level athlete Ngannou.

Hardy was not an A level athlete, since being a defensive tight end only requires a sort of brute strength and not much else. So don't use him as a counter example.

Fact remains, if LeBron was trained to fight MMA from a relative young age, he would destroy everyone including Ngannou. I could see him finishing Ngannou in particular with a judo slam into heavy, vicious GnP. Almost like the Jon Jones of the HW division but with scary athleticism .

Gane will destroy Jones too I'm afraid, as Jon is no A level athlete

Maybe Gane is just being very good at fighting on top of his athleticism.

People throw around this A athlete shit like people are robots. To be exceptionally good at things humans need passion. $ is not enough but it can take you close if you also have talent. But to reach the peak your devotion will always be the biggest factor. But an A athlete can always cheese there way in for some candy.

I agree these threads are a tad bit silly but calling Pro ballers uncoordinated is foolish.
Check out Jon Jones attempting a dunk and tell me who's uncoordinated.

Being a good football player is not necessarily indicative of anything but being good at a single job. An extreme example is the kicker - he's good at ... kicking and punting the ball. A defensive tight end is maybe good at spinning and juking people out and grabbing a dude. So again not the best example of athleticism

Compare the guy who's good at doing one thing to LeBron who can jump 4 feet high and is jacked and moves like a freight train and can probably play any sport he wants.
I get that you like Lebron, but this is far from reality.
