Media ''Only 2 fights left on Conor's contract''

Not for long.
UFC standard operating procedure seems to be a signed new contract before a title fight. Leverage.

More interestingly, who is gonna be the next sacrificial lamb like Cerrone?

Let's get Robbie Lawler in there

FUCK NO. Gaethje and maybe Ferguson, retirement, another big fuck up, and hopefully prison where he belongs. He's lost his talent, is irrelevant in the LW division, and needs to go away.
Why doesnt he fight Ferg first?

He already got demasculinated by Poirier, son’d by Khabib and upset by Diaz.

Losing to Islam won’t change a thing and only has upsides. Should a fluke occur, Conor is “back on top” so to speak. His legion of followers will go insane.
No I dont think so.

Islam wont just beat Conor,he would make him look like he did Hooker and Green. At least with Porier, conor had a moment or two. He could have a moment with other standup fighters.

Why do I feel like Islam wouldn't be getting a title shot in 2022, I could see Dana putting him aside because Justin is fighting next for the title and I don't see him winning, so Charles would definitely choose Conor next for a fight maybe at the end of 2022 and if he wins he will ask for a time off since he will have defended his title three times and Islam will be left out hanging. If Conor wins then he wont defend it and especially not against Islam.

if Oliveira folds like Jose Aldo due to Conor's trash talk

Those days a gone - that was 6-7yrs ago. The trash was his main weapon and once his one liners ran out - around the time of the floyd sparring match - it became more about him just being vulgar and loud as opposed to having some witty trash talk.

There is nothing he can say to anyone - outside of maybe going completely low brow which in my opinion would open the flood gates for opponents (rapist, old man assault, threatening another man's wife and child, broken leg, getting KO'd, etc.).

His time has come and past. His main talent was mind games and being able to get opponents overly emotional and flustered.

If he does fight out his contract it will most likely be a Nate fight and possibly Jorge because most likely Jorge is going to lose a UD to colby.

You Islam nutriders are nuts. His best fight was against Hooker, who's good but not great. Now he ducks RDA and you still ride the nuts.

He revenged Diaz and it was at 170, where Diaz is HUGE. He gave Khabib is best fight since Tibau, and that was after two years of ZERO MMA fights.

Hooker did alot better against porier than Conor did in those last two outings and you still ride his nuts

Conor has accomplished great things in the Octagon. He's earned his fans. Islam, not so much.

I'm not talking about how Islam will beat Conor, I'm saying Conor losing in any fashion at this point, is no big deal. He's been humiliated, carried out on a stretcher while ranting like a looney. I'm not saying Conor will have moments of success per se, I'm only talking about a fluke victory, with Islam caught being stupid. It's highly unlikely Conor will get lucky, I know.

In my opinion, he barely beat Nate the second time, Conor looked spent trying to beat Diaz and he barely did it.

I don't think Conor gave Khabib a good fight, winning round three was simply a byproduct of Khabib pacing himself, and even then, in round 3, Conor didn't put himself in a position to win, proof of that, is in round 4, Khabib tapped him in the opening two minutes. With regards to inactivity, Dustin Poirier isn't a sucker for the left counter anymore, plus he has low kicks and cardio, when combined, Conor's only chance was a single shot to change things, and he couldn't Even the clean shots that landed didn't drop Dustin, not at 155.

Yeah well Conor had the guts to move up and take fights at 170 while Khabib did not. Moved up from 145! Khabib cuts a TON of weight to make 155. Now Islam ducks RDA at 165-170 so following in the same footsteps as Khabib. Wrestlers know their strengths; I'll give them that.

Bro, I don’t call moving up to 170 to face Diaz “moving up” as Diaz isn’t a true 170’er either.

if he completed his contract as champ the champ clause would kick in. That actually could help UFC keep him because I actually think he's gone when his contract is up. When he's free he can be his own promoter and try to do boxing bouts, Canelo, Jake Paul etc without having to cut the UFC in.

They usually try to lock down fighters before title fight when their contract is coming down to the end, Khabib, Conor, Nate before the Masvidal fight, Masvidal got new deals before last few fights with Nate, Usman and just now but not always.

They still gave Ngnannou a shot at Stipe though he only had two fights left and was coming close to the sunset clause on his contract. They tried but he wouldnt sign and still gave him title shot.
