Basically they say UFC wouldn't or shouldn't put him to a title fight from business point, since if Conor wins somehow that it means Conor would go to his last fight as a champion, so UFC shouldn't let him fight for the title unless Conor signs another deal.

This make sense since we know Conor never defend his titles and if he gets lucky in Oliveira fight and if Oliveira folds like Jose Aldo due to Conor's trash talk then UFC would give all the leverage to Conor at the end of Conor's UFC deal.

I don't see him finishing the contract TBH. Maybe just 1 more fight for the injury comeback narrative but if so he's gonna lose and not fight again after that one

im not sure he even fights again (mma anyway)

ican see him buying some small org and going down that road

It's not like he can ever win a title fight again (unless it is through some sort of DQ).

You should rename this thread to "Only 2 Losses Left On Conor's Contract"

Conor is happy with the UFC...he doesnt really have an offer elsewhere anyway other than making a joke of himself entertaining Jake Paul's offers.

Also FWIW, Islam has 1 fight left on his contract.
Not for long.
UFC standard operating procedure seems to be a signed new contract before a title fight. Leverage.

More interestingly, who is gonna be the next sacrificial lamb like Cerrone?

Not really because if they can get Conor to become champ they can keep him in contract. That's why the talk is still for Conor to fight the champion on his return. Dana just said that recently because Olivera has expressed interest in fighting Conor, so if he's still the champion the fight will happen. The point is to maximize the earning potential of fights for Conor's last 2 and hope to extend it by making him champ. Any other narratives besides that isn't looking at things through the right lens.
