If fighters thought their contract negotiations were difficult before wait till they're on the other side of the table from Zuffa again after this little drama continues to unfold. No way they allow another athlete on their roster to gain the amount of leverage he had up to this point.

The only thing for certain is that Sherdog is becoming overloaded with stupid "Look at me" threads.

They gave Conor a little bit too much. That Diaz rematch was just over the line. At some point you have to stomp your foot down and show who's the boss.

Everyone is hating on on him, and all he is trying to do is get more money and set new standards in MMA. UFC is controlling all of the fighters by giving them nothing so they can fight longer, If they gave Conor 10mill, he would be gone after 2 more fights. He would have enough and retire. And now it backfired on them.

Yeah but they need stars to sell pay per views. They're in the business of making a fighter an attraction. A fighter who is a draw automatically has leverage.

Yes Monica Bellucci was the most beautiful woman on earth. She's getting old now, but still would of course

You're obviously a man of taste and discernment

I think it's a valid point and more thread worthy than alot of shit here.

Would you rather watch a card where you knew the fight would be like Lawler vs McDonald 2 or one with Conor as the main event? Brock as the main event? Ronda as the main event? GSP as the main event? Jones as the main event?

I disagree. They already have most everything in place including likeness use for video games.

They know they have to help build stars and that eventually that star will retire or dim.
It's the entertainment business.

There will always be the risk of ruining one card.

Thank you. My point was that I believe that Conor's success both in and out of the cage has opened the door for more parity in negotiations with the company. If nothing else, it showed other fighters that they didn't have to just take it. That they could have some actual power. Now though, I believe Zuffa will tighten in those hooks even more to preclude another Conor-esque rise within the ranks.

I'll take great fights over names but it doesn't matter...it's what the general public will buy. Names/stars are what the lay person gets excited about. I think Floyd Mayweather is a defensive technician and brilliant to watch but you can't tell me that any of his fights are exciting. Despite that, he sells a lot of pay per views.

Move along ... there´s nothing to see here .... im just here for Monica Belluci

May i say she was living with Cassel close to my flat (actually in a popular neighborood).. you could see them going out for a café, like everything was normal, like she was not this tall italian mystic creature that everyone was looking at with disbelief. Is normal.

I don't think it will change. Look at what happened with the Randy Couture incident; now this is happening. Zuffa will always allow incentives for fighters with more leverage because it's been very profitable to them.
