"one more sleep"

Just Anik being corny AF and trying to come up with catch phrases because he seems to think his job is to be a human caricature.

As a parent I use this all the time with my kids...who are about as smart as the average mma/sherdogger

It sounds like the phrasing someone might use when exhausted where you're not thinking right.

I would like to start by saying I'm just providing an anecdote and not making a commentary on Anik or anyone who uses the expression

The first time I heard someone say one more sleep or counting the number of sleeps until something happens was when I was working at a pyschiatric hospital and the patients would say it. I asked them about it and they said it's typically a jail expression.

Again I am NOT saying that Anik is mentally unwell or a convict I'm just saying this is where I first heard this expression.

I'm just curious, do any English speakers from any English speaking region of the world actually use this phrase, or is it just John Anik? I've never heard someone phrase the notion of "one more night" this way, but maybe I just don't get out enough.

Anik says it all the time (time stamped)

It's pretty common in this side of the world. English is one of our two national languages here.

Yeah, it is a thing that it is said, generally before a big event, something like Christmas, birthi, holidays or whatever
