One fight that you'd travel the world to watch in person?

Nice idea for a thread my friend <40>

Fight that happened:

Cain vs JDS 2

Condit vs Diaz (I would hate myself later lol)

Future fights:

Cerrone fighting anyone but needs to be a strong card too. Cerrone alone is not enough.

Ferguson vs Conor

Nate vs Ferguson

Swanson vs KZ

Condit vs Matt Brown

Conor vs Aldo 2

Rockhold vs Weidman/Bisping 2

DC vs Jones 2

I almost woke my mother up whilst laughing at this. 02.50am and I was just howling with laughter at that.

10/10.

PS: YNWA (I'm a Liverpool fan too matey)

McGregor Vs Wonderboy

Just two of the best fighting styles out there facing each other

If I would travel around the world it would not be to watch fights.

I dont have either of those things

But if i did, that would be a combo i would be using on the regular

its basically an upgraded futuristic way of having a wank, everyone will be doing it in 10 years

If it is close to me, any fight. If I have to fly and get a hotel, no single fight is enough. The whole card has to be good. I have been to 5 now.

Go on........
Pretty sure I've told this story somewhere else on here, but just for you bro ;)

I was walking out of some fire-exit from the MGM (I think they use them to get the numbers out of the MGM). There was a shit-load of Irish fans hollering, drunk of course, and marching in their groups of 10-100, through the corridors and through the casino. I end up out in the parking lot, trying to get back on the strip to walk down to my hotel (get dressed for the club or some shit).

Next thing I hear something to the affect of "Yeah, that's right motherfucker" - "I'm walking, I'm leaving already motherfucker, don't touch me".

I then turn around and see like 2 security guys ushering a guy in jeans and a black t-shirt (yes, you could not write this shit). I then realize that it's actually him, and I nudge my boy and I'm like "oh my lord, it's fucking Nick". You will never understand how much I wanted to ask for a Snapchat or selfie or some shit, but he looked like he was fuming - probably don't want to ruin my life by meeting my MMA favorite and then have him telling me to go and fuck myself.

So, for some reason, I decide to just be like "You tell them Nick, don't be scared homie!". To which he looks around and shouts "Yeah, that's what's up".

Life was complete after that moment.

Got to watch an event in 2011 and pretend it was Pride New year's eve not a dream event. Had the intro's, had the names and had the respectful crowd. Close your eyes while the chick with THE voice warbled the names and it was 2003 all over again but you're there live.

Was in Japan for family and decided on the delux trip so not as full on as you maybe.

For me gsp silva
Gsp Conor
Either or

Gsp bisbing if it were to happen (UFC 206) but the trip would have been 27km to the acc in Toronto lol

Nate runs in with a chair and knocks out Big John McCarthy. He will back Frye into a corner but then end up hitting BJ with the chair and put on Don Frye's NWO shirt. This will set up a steel cage match for the United States title at Starcade.
You just mentioned Starcade, this thread might as well be closed now.

/thread.

If Fedor had signed with the UFC like he almost did in 2009, as an undefeated fighter to challenge pre-diseased Brock for the UFC HW title, that would have been pretty amazing to watch.

And I don't care about seeing it live necessarily, so let's say it happened in Hawaii so that it's a win-win for me to travel there.

To be honest i did also consider going to 194, also from the UK

No one else i asked was up for it though so i soon gave up on the idea, i dont think i could justify the experience anyway, when like i said i could watch a ppv with a way better view than i imagine you got from the £520 pound seats you had

I wouldnt travel for any MMA fight currently i dont think. Boxing on the other hand, GGG vs Alvarez i would travel for, only if loaded though as i just wouldnt sit in seats that gave me a less than excellent view

How much did your trip cost you all in ? about £2000ish ?
Somewhere in the region of £2000, I won a fair bit of cash playing Craps over there, so it put a dent in my overall expenditure.

I understand what you mean about view, but it is what it is, those arenas sell out for a reason, there is an appeal.

My seats were decent, far from the bleachers. I did get almost ringside in Sweden for Gustafsson vs Johnson and they were only £195. UFC 194 I think was one of the first events where they knew they could get away with charging £280 starting price - all Conor's fault eh ;)

The way I viewed it is that I'm going to Las Vegas, and the fight is the icing on the cake. Anyone who saves up or plans on doing a Vegas trip from the UK knows that they are spending 1-2k on their trip and that's even if you're not a high-roller. You get some dicks that gamble away shit loads and turn it into a remortgage your house job.

If I'm going to the fight capital of the world, and I'm watching the arguably the greatest MMA card on paper (UFC at least) to date, I might as well kill all the birds with one stone and do it all together.

I don't regret it one iota, and my boy got slept in 13 seconds.

I would have loved to have traveled to Japan to witness one of the Pride spectacles back in the day, too bad that will ever happen now obviously.
