They should overturn decisions and not by NC, Colosseum is doing that too here.
 
I was lucky, Singapore Sport Hub sent an email the day before explaining what time doors would be open (4pm) and what time the fights would start(5pm)

I was super impressed with the efficiency, organisation and the entertainment value. One Championship really know to put on a spectacular show. I loved every second of it.

ONE Championship has conducted an official review of the controversial bout between Giorgio Petrosyan and Petchmorrakot Petchyindee at ONE: Enter The Dragon in Singapore. In fairness to all parties, the ONE Competition Committee has formally declared the bout a no contest. The referee did not adequately control the illegal clinching, resulting in multiple infractions during the bout.

There will be an automatic rematch with the winner proceeding into the semifinals of the US$1m ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix.

I would like to thank one championship and you Chatri for your integrity . I understand it would not have been easy but you are not done for easy things Chatri . I also would like to say I will be glad to fight again with Petchmorakot . I respect him so much . We will both have the chance to give a better fight for the fans . I am sure he would prefer to win against me without any doubts . Now he has this chance . And mainly the fans both side will have the chance to see a great fight this time . The best will win . And today justice won .

Wow! I think this is a bad call! If u lose u lose whether its bad decision or not! I feel this opens a pandoras box now everytime someone loses they r gonna ask for a review!
 
That's the problem with them not having draws. I personally scored it for Petmorrakot but if they scored the fight a draw and announced an extra round or a rematch it would have been fair.

Close rounds are difficult to score and apparently One doesn't allow 10-10 rounds which i think doesn't make sense.

I don't mind the NC this time but they need to review their policies and make sure this doesn't keep happening.

The thing about illegal clinching seems like bullshit though.

Edit: Yes the clinching excuse was definitely BS and was no reason to overturn the desicion as it was a political thing because Petrosyan, Petrosyans fans and Chatri didnt lile the decision.

The word robbery is overused. If u want to watch a robbery watch roy jones jnr in the final of the seoul olympics. I wonder what Petrosyan's management said to Chatri.

Thai gyms showing Chatri they wont just be moved around like pawns.

What a disaster for ONE, entirely their own faults. I guess they will book Petrosyan/Yodsanklai as a replacement quatr-final anyway now Phetmorakot has pulled, which is the best thing they can do.

That's a tough one, but I side with Petchmokarot on this one. He should remain the winner.
 
A lot of bullshit with Chatri. The new management rules he implemented seemed like a way to force fighters in one fc to sign with his management company. Even some of the fighters at evolve. Seemed like he promised them a nice retirement training people. Then used his powere over them to make them fight again. like sam-a, sinthongnoi por telakoon etc

I guess they will make Yod VS Petro now. This thing is funny af, Lee grabbing the rope? No review. Stamp clinching in kickboxing rule?No review. One FC double standard since 2011.
 
I suspect this doesn't have to do with the clinching but rather Chatri not being happy with the decision and the criticism that they received on social media from angry casual fans that thought Petrosyan won all three rounds. Now Petchyindee is withdrawing Petchmorrakot from the tournament which is understandable and probably a good decision but the whole thing is unfortunate.

Kickboxing scoring is diffuse and a lot of people act as if there is a unified scoring or ruleset.
I always hear comments such as "This is kickboxing, not muay thai" or "[xxxxx] was the agressor, walking forwards" or "kicks to the arms don't score".

From my understanding every promotion always had different rulesets about clinching and different scoring criteria. I don't know how One scores their kickboxing fights but if clean shots or damage is the scoring criteria none of "aggressor" stuff should matter. In my eyes, and i guess in 2 out of 3 judges eyes Petmorrakot had the cleaner shots in rounds 2 and 3, but we might have seen it differently if we watched it from a different angle. Other judges might just have seen it differently since it was that close. I think it's safe to say it wasn't a clear robbery but when i think closer, overturning the decision wasn't the best way to manage this situation.

I think the best thing would probably have been to do a Petrosyan vs Yodsanklai fight, and after that they should have announced a rematch with Petrosyan vs Petchmorrakot, without calling their first fight a no contest. Hopefully they will take the measures needed so things like this don't happen in the future.
