There are plenty of standup fights incoming. I don't think you stand them up when actively attempting a sub. But I wouldn't have been mad if the ref had either.

I don't think fights should ever be stood up.

I am just saying, fights are often stood up with moderate activity from closed guard, yet we never see standups when you have a clear stalemate like that. After a minute it was clear Miura was in no threat of being submitted. Neither fighter was doing damage. They were stalemated. Reset them, and let them fight.

Well said. This isn't a BJJ competition. I would have liked to see her try and readjust the choke at least.
