Once upon a time in Hollywood suuuuuuuuuuuuuucks

It is one of his best films

I guess you are like a little boy and need constant action and curse words and stupidity which half his other films have

Excellent film. Very different style than other Tarantino films, and the climax was fucking sick. So glad it wasn’t just another rehash of more popular films of his.

Also, very refreshing in a world dominated by marvel comic book kids films.

I thought it was really good to be honest. I thought the tension was built up across the entire movie with interesting subplots. Everything finally culminates with Leo finally getting some use out of his past acting gigs by torching that one Manson family girl in the pool. Pitt and Leo were awesome.

I liked it a lot and thought the climax was great.

I hear in the book they say that Pitt’s character is the son of his other character in Inglorious Basterds, which is pretty cool.

Booth is Raines son? That's awesome. Makes me want to check out the book.

Utterly pretentious Oscar bait drivel made by a fucking goon, who has an unhealthy and disturbing obsession with "correcting" the legacy of a man dead for over 5 decades despite everyone around the man when he was alive basically saying Tarantino doesn't know shit. Complete piece of trash people prop up as great to make themselves feel intellectual and as something only *pukes violently* a true lover of cinema could "get."

Acting saved it, but I agree the plot felt all over the place because it is based on numerous different perspectives.

Like 1 star sucks. How Tarantino pooped out this disaster and completely wasted Brad and Leo, Ill never get. All the hallmarks other than foot fetishism are missing. The dialogue is nothing special. The 'wasted' overly long set up shots lead nowhere. The clever time period cultural references are everywhere but completely uninteresting. Even the climax is humdrum. Just awful. It's clearly the worst of his films by a giant margin.

Pitt did fine. Leo did fine. But the script is just so boring. Why have Al Pacino play that role? Zzzz How many uninteresting driving scenes do we need just to listen to crappy 60s music.

Unbelievably bad.
Quinton has been turrible since "the glorious bathturds". He's been a sell-out for a long time.

He might have been a genius copycat, yet he sucks chimp's ass!

You left out Tarantino's masturbatory fantasy of saving Sharon Tate.

Very good film. I wouldn’t say it’s one of Tarantino’s best, but I’ll take his worst effort over most other movies.

I remember I went to see this in the theater with like five buddies in a pretty empty COVID theater. I ran out of popcorn so I got up to get more and a empty tequila bottle clanked to the floor outta my pocket.

So I when I went out to the concession stand for more popcorn the chicks working informed me they were closed. So they were nice enough to let me have the giant trash bag of fresh popcorn they had just emptied to walk back into the theater with to everybody's surprise like I am Santa Popcorn.

Other than that I gave it high marks only for how upset the interwebs got about the Bruce Lee portrayal.

Tldr; not a very good movie, but I was hammered and don't remembered much tbh

I wouldn’t call anything Tarantino has done “bad” but it’s definitely in my bottom two or three of his films.

It has some great moments and acting in it (primarily from Leonardo and the Jodie Foster proxy) but the climax fucking sucks and there's various other BS in the movie. It benefits from the fact that Hollywood is putting out a lot of crap at the moment so it looks really good in comparison.

It’s a love letter to Hollywood with a lot of scenic nostalgia if you’re familiar with it -that’s why it was the darling of his peers. But to a regular audience that doesn’t care about that stuff it was just.. boring movie that has funny Bruce Lee scene in it that ends with most of the Manson family getting murked in an alternate universe. The rest is boring filler.

Me personally, I wanted to see more Olyphant and maybe some more of Margot but we got what we got.

Please to be telling how the dialogue in this movie is even in the same Galaxy as the dialogue in IB? The opening scene and the basement scene of IB are two of the best written and directed scenes EVER.
