News On the Day of His Retirement Jon Jones Charged with Fleeing the Scene of an Accident in Albuquerque, NM (Update W/ Cam Footage).

One day Dana White will look back on Jones retiring and realise it's a blessing in disguise. Sort of like someone finally leaving their hot but psycho girlfriend they didn't want to break up with.

Dana's friends will be saying I told you this was for the best now get on with your life.

I wonder how many threads will be started about this. Thankfully, with merges they won't take up the entire front page, but we won't be able to easily keep count.

Sounds like a nice excuse when Dana wouldn't give them enough money.

Jon Jones is a scumbag that should have been banned from the sport. I look forward to seeing him in prison 10 years from now.

He could be dead in 10 years via a car crash.
Conor might go to jail but he could have a heart attack from all the gear I guess.

LEGACY.

Who said anything about steroids?

Seriously though: there is only one witness who admits 1) she was really drunk at the time, 2) she was really high at the time, 3) she was really pantsless at the time, and 4) she really can't remember anything that happened at the time but also says she remembers Jon driving her car sometime, maybe at the time, who knows? Without Jon's history, no prosecutor would even file this case. As is, they're just hoping he agrees to a lengthy license suspension in exchange for dropping the charges.

None of which is to say that I believe that Jon is innocent; he probably isn't, but that doesn't change the fact that this is a particularly crappy misdemeanor case with little chance of getting a conviction.

Maybe Jon wanted to retire but Dana asked him to keep that quiet for now while they're negotiating with Netflix or whatever streaming service they're trying to partner with.

Then Jon has the car accident thing and Dana said keep that quiet too, until negotiations are over.

So all this coming out must mean negotiations are over. And since the UFC hasn't announced a new partner, I'm guessing a deal was not reached.
