the goal is to gain weight as a hardgainer

Serious Mass - $24.99 : Optimum Nutrition, The Bigger Picture

what are people's thoughts on this?

also when should it be taken? PRE-WORKOUT or POST-WORKOUT, morning, before bed etc?

    and how many scoops?

Or do you think it's better to stick with On 100% whey protein Gold standard?

    Thanks in advance guys

I know the amount of carbs scared me actually, I don't want to take too much. But still I am a really hardgainer and do want to gain the weight. I could always try eating more veg and steak with on whey 100% protein, but if this Serious ganer will reduce the amount of veg I need to take I am interested

God that is the most irritating reply, I am asking about this product specifically.

I read the stickies, I am taking Fish oil tablets with Molecular Distillation
and 180mg EPA and 120mg DHA (180/120). I am also taking Greens+ but that is about to run out. So I just want to stay with the Fish oil tablets and a protein shake. Now I am deciding between ON 100% whey protein or this Serious Mass powder. Instead of telling me to look at the stickies could I just get some views on the Serious mass powder as I am a hardgainer and I have never had experience with it

    thanks in advance guys

Don't get offended or irritated for that. If anything, we're being pretty polite considering this is taken directly from the stickies:
    As is THIS

    and this:
Check the links in HERE that apply to your goals, especially about veggies every meal.

If you do that, then read through the S&P FAQ - Please Read

Serious Mass isn't that great its only something like 5 servers per container. So your talking bout spending that much every week when you can get something like Iso-Mass Xtreme gainer for 50 bucks and its 30 servings

    Thanks ronin0352

that was a lot to take in even though I have read a few of those several times before.

So basically should I just be eating less junk, more veggies, steak, meat, pasta etc snacks such as almonds and Yoghurt along with ON 100% whey protein rather then the Serious mass weight gainer and stay with my fish oil tablets too? That should be a good way to gain weight?

sorry for sounding hostile at first, it's just I feel there would be no point to the forum if we are always told to just read the stickies. Some people like me are not as experienced as you in this field and don't have the time to read through all this, I just want general advice.

Nevertheless thanks in advance again guys

No worries, man. I am not all that experienced, in all honesty. I got injured and had shoulder surgery and had a LOT of time to read. I've learned a ton from these forums, and have actually cut my supplementation almost in half from all the unnecessary crap I used to waste my money on.

I admit, he FAQ is a lot to absorb, I recommend reading and re-reading it. I work nights, so usually after I'm done checking all the new threads of the day, I'll go back through the FAQ again and try to find things I missed before and I learn something new almost every time.

well hope your shoulder gets/got better

it's just sorry to sound like a broken record, but is this fine then?

I will also be doing some re-reading when I have the time, but I would like to know your view on this or what others think of this.

    Thanks bud

Damn that is alot of carbs. I would probably try it if I was bulking. Im not bulking right but when I did bulk...I was drinking Cytogainer. Just make sure you have a solid diet and also make sure you are working out hard.

    YES

Take the money you would spend on that stuff and spend it on steak, pork chops, fish, etc. and some dark green veggies. Better for you, better tasting, and probably last longer IMO. I buy meats in bulk and put it in freezer bags and freeze it. 2 steaks/chops/fillets whatever per bag.

Allmax - QuickMass instead it is a quality product and although it may be more expensive in my opinion based on using a lot of allmax's other products and what i have seen people who are on quick mass do it is the best shake supplement weight gainer. They have the highest quality whey protein you will find which is why it is expensive but very worth it. im on a few different protein supplements right now and am just waiting to go through them so i can buy quick mass. you should also look at manitoba harvest hemp protein i am on it currently and know many people who are on it aswell. it is the perfect weight gainer for muscle b.c the way hemp protein is chemically structured it is the closest to the way human bodies proteins are structered hard to explain if you dont take organic chemistry but those are my two top weight gainers/protein supplement choices.

Yes buy food pre make and place in tupper ware so it's ready to eat take it with you if you have problems missing meals also it's better having the food already made in case you're busy or get lazy.
