Well, the man I knew was in the service and young, probably no more than 20 and easy to trick as most of us are at that age. Sounds like she trapped him into bringing her to the US and he left as soon as his own daughters turned 18, which made the daughters hate him. Imagine my shock sitting there in a 12 step meeting and realizing, almost psychically that this was my first loves father and the story of their life. Like I say, I liked the guy but he had a very hard life and no one appreciated any of the sacrifices he made, it's sad. It's true, women can be so damned unappreciative. the easy thing for this dummie to do, outside of using a condom, would be to leave the kid over there in korea. He tried to do the right thing and still ended up with the whole family pissed at him, they all sided with the momma. Again, I was shocked to realize a girl I idealize came from such dysfunction.
Also, I really do not think we americans really understand or know asian culture and of course there are more than one. We think because they present as docile, quiet and nice that that's all there is to it. Japanese people are all those things and I know from my exp. I wouldn't want to be close to any of them ever again. I still have and had Japanese friends but I have very little trust for them and am always looking out for their quirky doings so I don't get fooled again. Lots of americans will rave about how nice the japanese are when the japanese hate anyone non-japanese, and that kindness has a very serious darkside to it.
