Tbh I thought they said it was ‘water poisoning’ aka hyponatremia. It happens bc people water load and flush out all their electrolytes to lose weight. Sodium is an electrolyte and too low sodium can cause an altered mental status. Seems likely to me.

When I was an undergrad, a freshman who was rushing a frat died from water poisoning. The frat was on probation for hazing, so the geniuses decided to start forcing pledges to drink water instead of beer. Apparently, they didn't want him in the frat, so they kept forcing him to drink. That's horrible, I've never seen that pic or footage of the weigh in.
