Media Oh boy. Max aint looking good.

He always sounds like he has marbles in his mouth. He tries to talk like a thug.
That said, He does sound weirder than usual. I have a hard time believing he makes it to the cage on saturday or even the weigh ins.

That or it could be that some days he just has more energy than others, he started fighting young, so he was probably full of energy more, he was more vibrant, more uppity, but as he's matured, he doesn't talk so fast, he takes his time as to not skip over words. He sounds more mature than the kid who started fighting in the UFC at 19, he's gonna sound different, the dudes practically grown up in front of our eyes.

You look at Conor when he was just starting he was the same way, full of energy, fast talking, and now that he's older, he's more mellowed out, still kinda crazy, but mellowed up and speaks at pace he's comfortable with, for Max it could be the same thing.
Sounds like you're really just trying to convince yourself. Dude sounds noticeable different.

Maybe it's just because of the weight cut or he was really excited, but if that video was the first time I'd ever heard Max speak I'd assume he was drunk or had a speech impediment.

don't see how anyone says he's punch-drunk, at least based on his fights. he hasn't taken that much damage. the weight he cuts is definitely affecting him, and probably isn't helping his speech. but more likely it's just the way he speaks.

The really bad Max interview kinda reminded me of this old Chuck interview. Chuck lost the belt & 5 out of 6 matches after this interview aired -

I think Holloway has been sparring too hard from a very young age & has done a lot of permanent damage already.
