It's wild how many games are still $40-50. The one game I really want is Burnout 3, which I don't even think is backwards compatible.
Edit: I'm actually excited about the 360 blades theme.

I assume you must be talking about games not listed in the link? Because there are 155 games listed there as part of the final sale, and all but one are 50% off or more; 140 of them are 75%+ off; 55 of them are 90%+ off. It's a legitimate fire sale, I suppose, to close out the marketplace.

Yeah, I just meant the X360 games in general. The discounts there are really good, but I was surprised that more of the catalog wasn't on sale. I would expect everything to be on sale, really.

You still have a 360? I have one too and it's still hooked up. I kept my Burnout 3: Takedown though. My dream back compat games are The Warriors, Psi-Ops, and Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition. :(

Are you guys still happy with the Xbox?

I get so many vids on youtube recommended to me from people unhappy with Microsoft and Xbox

I think Xbox360 was the best and Gears of War was my favorite franchise on the console.

The first Xbox was built like a tank and then the 360 was made to self destruct after you bought a big library of games forcing you to buy another 360. It happened to me

I got a PS5. I love playing games on it but I hate the design of the console itself.. The damn thing should lay down flat without needing that stand. I don't like my console to be vertical where it can get knocked over. PS4 was perfect. Low center of gravity and flat. The PS5 is a monstrosity of bad design.

Absolutely. No regrets here and awesome games are coming down the pipe. Things need improvement on the gaming side of course but this gen is finding it's legs. Gamescom is gonna be HYPE!

I agree I hate the PS5 design. I just don't really care about console designs at all though since I just put the console down and play games. With that said I lay my console down all the time I've never had to use a stand.

Just bought Forza Horizon 4 Ultimate edition for £16 in the sale before it gets delisted just before the end of the year (Won't be available on Game Pass either )

I'm thinking of getting an Xbox for racing games and co op multiplayer.

One thing I noticed about Xbox when I had the 360 is everyone had microphones and people actually played multiplayer the way I want to play it

And everyone should have a microphone on PS because the controller is a microphone

Some guy was asking me to help him beat Radahn and I kept telling him to turn on his microphone to make it easier but he wouldn't do it. He kept typing in the chat with his misspelled words.. Probably a Sherdog member.

the new versions of the Series S and Series X will be available from October 15th or 29th depending on your region

Console-Options-e6e9d5a4fd2587d778f1-1024x576.jpg

Beginning later today*, players will be able to pre-order the Xbox Series S – 1TB in Robot White, Xbox Series X – 1TB Digital Edition in Robot White, and Xbox Series X – 2TB Galaxy Black Special Edition. For many players, we know our consoles are the preferred choice to play the incredible titles available on Xbox. I'm excited to share that the three new Xbox Series X|S console options, announced earlier this year at the Xbox Games Showcase 2024, will release on October 15, with select countries following on October 29.

These console options will be available in all current Xbox hardware supported regions and markets including Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Colombia, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Kingdom, and United States with the exception of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, India, Israel, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Turkey, and UAE, and console availability will vary by country.

Any takes on which exclusives are next to go multi plat?
Indiana Jones has a good chance
Forza Horizon?
Starfield?
Halo?

XBox, lol.
OG Xbox and 360 were great (except for the hardware issues)

MS definitely raised the standard of what a console should offer- they were the first with many features.

Once they started to get greedy for more market share it was bad idea after bad idea.. starting with Kinect, the next generation water cooler, and now the biggest thorn in their side is GamePass.

I just don't think the Netflix model works for gaming. It can work for certain live service games, games with seasonal content, and even sports games. Day one launches for blockbusters that cost hundreds of millions to make? Not so much.

I do have fond memories of schooling people in CTF in Halo 2, doing stupid shit in Project Gotham Racing, and I still play the Forza Horizon games. I don't really need an Xbox though...

Agreed on OG and 360, great systems.

360 is best system of all-time if you're into bullet hell shmups.

Perhaps, but this becomes semantic because Xbox just introduced a tier that won't grant Day 1 access, and Sony has already copied the Game Pass model down to the letter except for Day 1 launches. All of that additional value Playstation gamers enjoy is thanks to Microsoft.

Yea unfortunately we may never actually know. All we really have is anecdotal evidence like Spencer saying "player counts are higher than ever" while they send exclusives to the competition. Then you have devs that aren't crazy about the day 1 launch on gamepass idea...

I mean I get MS wanted to provide a great value to gamers, I'm just not sold that it is sustainable.

Obsidian will go with 30fps as a baseline for Avowed on both Series S and Series X

Speaking on the Iron Lords Podcast, art director Matt Hansen said Obsidian is "targeting a baseline of 30fps" for the first-person fantasy RPG. 60fps sounds unlikely, however, even on the more powerful Xbox Series X.
Explaining, Hansen said Obsidian decided to go for 30fps in order to facilitate fancier visuals, and that because Avowed is a first-person, single-player game, "you don't necessarily need that 60 frames."
