Huh? Bro, that's crazytalk. The XSX screenshot there is obviously the best. The RTX shot looks the best to me. The Series X looks like the pumped the contrast up too much. There is a loss of shadow detail and a harshness to the saturation that is a little unpleasant to my eye. Hopefully they can get it dialed in closer to the RTX.

The superior richness and range of the color palette is just striking, it's like comparing the best possible frame from a dynamic sequence showing off the highest-end HDR out there vs. SDR. Next, look at how sharp the reflections are in the tiles on the floor. The RTX floor is dead. There's no lights bouncing off it. It doesn't look ray-traced to me while the XSX one clearly is. This one is all about lighting. You can see it in the color, contrasts, reflections, and shadows. The XSX screenshot is shitting on the other two.
The only place where the RTX image maybe looks better is a bit more texture detailing around (like just above) the columns on the wall. It appears the contrast that lets you see the reliefs is getting washed out a bit.
I'm assuming you're trolling, but I'm just reminding people not to work too hard to see things that aren't there. This isn't one of those screenshot comparisons where it's so difficult to discern differences you find yourself overthinking it. The winner is plain to the eye.
If you don't like the saturation, you can turn that down on your monitor. That doesn't nothing to contradict the plain superiority of the dynamic color range in the XSX photo. That's an objective superiority, not one of preference. It will still show up once you've muted the colors to your liking. So too will all the superior detail of shadow, reflections, and contrast stemming from the superior lighting. The XSX shot contrast and saturation is pumped up too much. I don't care about the ray tracing reflections. They look stupid and fake and overly emphasized in that shot. That does not look realistic at all. Maybe you are trolling? Take a basic photography class.

This was from a few months ago, could be different today.

Photography intro classes don't really concern themselves with notions of realism as much as technique and result: what you're trying to achieve with the image. I doubt a photography instructor would be impressed by your objections over photorealistic fidelity to an imaginary, entirely computer-generated world. Fidelity like color saturation is a concept that is relevant when your reference is a real object in a real setting.
I'm just spitballing here but could Big Navi leverage these enhancements?
It does. I'd be more than happy to run a discrete thread with a poll for this. I would even label each photo with a number instead of the system in an attempt to remove bias. The RSX shot looks better to me. That reflection in the floor is way too sharp and over emphasized. The subtlety of the RSX looks much more realistic, even if it's not ray traced. The "plain superiority" as you call it here does not produce a more pleasing result. Just like how dynamic shadows are superior to baked in ones, but baked in shadows can be drawn at a much higher resolution, so anywhere you don't have a moving light source a baked in shadow might look better and save you processing power you can use elsewhere. Sometimes superior tech doesn't lead to better overall results, particularly when processing power is at a premium.
Yes, but so could the RTX cards. The advantage here isn't about hardware. Microsoft is deliberately stacking the deck.I'm just spitballing here but could Big Navi leverage these enhancements?
There's not a chance in hell that the XSX version runs at 60FPS with that level of detail if it's beyond the 4K ultra settings for PC.Xbox One X.

Well, at least that's a standard warranty, now.Microsoft finally upgraded the Xbox Elite Controller Series 2's pathetic 90-day warranty to a whopping one year. Why the sudden change of heart? Well, for most of 2020, Microsoft has been at the heart of a class-action lawsuit surrounding Xbox controllers.
The lawsuit claims that Microsoft knows about the analog stick drift in its Xbox controllers but refuses to repair the problem for free when people submit a support ticket. Two weeks ago, the lawsuit was amended to include the Xbox Elite Controller Series 2, and just recently, Microsoft updated its warranty on the Elite Controller.
Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 warranty update
Microsoft's support page. It explains that the extension applies retroactively, and since this controller launched in November 2019, everyone who owns the controller will still be within warranty. If your controller is experiencing issues, I suggest you contact Microsoft to see if the company can fix it.
Additionally, if you had already sent your controller in and were charged by Microsoft for repairs, you will be issued a refund before October 31, 2020. If you don't receive a refund by that date, reach out to Microsoft and hold on to any and all receipts that you may have.
This is an awesome change, especially since a $180 controller shouldn't have the same length of warranty as a $60 controller. If you bought your controller on Day 1, we recommend you take advantage of this while you can, as the controller has been known to experience Bluetooth issues, joystick drift and even sticky buttons.
I have personally experienced all three issues across three separate controllers, and the controller I own now has sticky buttons. You can contact Microsoft here by clicking "Contact us."

Yeah, hopefully that's not a new trend they're starting with XSX/PC exclusives going forward. It's not about the XSX hardware demonstrating superior capability. It's about the PC version being nerfed so that the XSX version is the best one. Indeed, there's no chance in hell the XSX could handle better settings than an RTX 3090.
It's highly disappointing. One of the rare low-handed tactics from Microsoft we've seen in the runup to the launch.
