Pancrase is not a huge organization and I sincerely doubt they are paying for all of those people to come to Japan with Sarah. More likely some of those people are taking a mini-vacation to Japan and are also helping out Sarah (training, warm ups, corner, etc.). I`d be up there watching the fight and offering to show them around if it wasn`t such an expenditure for me...and I didn`t have to work on Monday.

Let`s hope the fight ends up on youtube; most of Rin`s recent fights end up there.

That's seems like a pretty expensive trip for them based on WMMA purses, but they probably make more money at other jobs then they do from their fighting.

Men's MMA appears to have peaked in 2009/2010. Any guesses as to when women's MMA peaks?

Upon further digging you're almost right. The guy is Trevor Ward and he's challenging Shintaro Ishiwatari for his BW title, and Tamikka Brents is cornering him. The Frausto Sisters are cornering Sarah.

I follow macaquinha on fakebook and twitter. Her and Zola seem to really like training at CSA, and it's fun to follow them. Both won MT fights the last 2 weeks, iirc.

Thanks for the pic, Leek. I assume Sarah made weight, okay (?) I`ll say this about Rin, she is one of the few Japanese female fighters with enough confidence to show up at weigh-ins in a bikini. Actually, she wears a lot of outfits most other Japanese fighters wouldn`t dare wear.

Looks like Ava Knight is getting vocal:

@danawhite I could knock out anyone in your strawweight division. #LetsDoThis #UFC #TheSwitchOver #TheTakeOver @ufc #MMA #NeverScared

Looks like Ava Knight is getting vocal:

Yeah. Knight sent out a (couple) tweet(s) the other day indicating some interest in the UFC or being in contact with them or otherwise involved with them.

Interesting to see what happens on that front.

I was thinking she got a job working at the UFC Gym after moving to Vegas from California.

I didn't know what to think of her first tweet either as she didn't give it much context to it.

It left me thinking she might be getting a job with the UFC, or being in talks with them to fight for them, or even just deciding to take the plunge into MMA.

Paloma Fabrykant: One Week Less, One More Fight

Fightland Blog

By Paloma Fabrykant

It’s better if you don’t see him, or wander your sight towards the guy warming up on the edge of the mat, preparing to come out when he hears “next.” It’s better that you focus my attention on the guy on top, who is throwing punches from everywhere, and he’s not going anywhere until he hears the order.

“Next!” yells the coach, and you have one or two seconds to fill your lungs until the next sparring partner grabs hold of you. A three-round circuit with rotating (and fresh) partners feels like an entire gang is attacking you. Fifteen minutes straight with six guys that punish you one after the other. All fresh, all professional fighters, all of them heavier, stronger, more experienced than you, and to make it worse, you’re a woman.

Turns out the people posting about the fighting ending in "success" for Fabrykant were drinking heavily as she lost a decision. There were a lot of them. Very strange.

//I know Paloma Fabrykant won her flyweight debut tonight but I don't know how it came about yet.

Nice and quick with getting Jedrzejczky vs. Bentiz found and out. Thanks. Had fun watching it on live stream the other day.

Most of the last several fights I have been keeping an eye on have taken several days to several weeks to turn up.

Not sure what the deal is with the music but it's better than nothing I suppose.

Rin Nakai beats Sarah D'Alelio by unanimous decision. Didn't watch the stream so I can't comment on the fight but according to mmarising it was a clear cut win.

Is Nakai ever going to fight in America?

Great win for Rin Nakai. A clean win with ground domination. Congrats.

I can feel okay about moving her up in the rankings now. I felt semi-okay about it after her clean win over Tara LaRosa but this is a better case as Sarah D'Alelio had been ranked in the bottom end of the top ten briefly not all that long ago. (Or maybe I just remember it that way, still within the past year and a half I think.)

Fighting in the US? Hard to say. There is plenty to suggest that will never happen but when it comes to money things can change.

Here's a comment posted about Nakai in an MMAFighting article:

 According to Roxanne Modafferi, "she will do whatever her husband tells her too"

Her husband is also her manager. Strikeforce offered her a contract (against Cyborg so I understand her turning it down). Invicta offered her a contract. More recently Tara LaRosa tried to talk her into coming to the U.S. (LaRosa said Nakai looked like she wanted to cry when she told her that overseas she

So I'm thinking we should be hearing something this week about the remaing cast members of TUF20 - thoughts?? Also Lynn Alvarez just signed on to fight at wsof, was she part of the remaining 20/cuts?

Nakai looked like a dwarf against LaRosa. She is way too small to be a serious competitor at BW. And her striking is not really there at all. I'm surprised she beat DAlelio though, DAlelio is legit comp.

Wow, this is a very interesting win for Nakai.
I'm really curious to see her perfomance..
