Did you guys see this announcement last night?

Yup. I saw that almost two days ago now. Until the UFC actually picks them up I don't really care too much about White saying they are looking at them. Of course they are looking at them and are only waiting on the right deal.

I'm not trying to belittle the news you brought, just pointing out why I just don't see much there to comment on or bother to post it on the forum.

Just my personal view on it.

There is a lengthy thread in the heavies on that topic.

Pick Factor Fighter Spotlight: Invicta FC’s Amanda Bobby Cooper

The world of mixed martial arts is becoming increasingly familiar with female fighters across promotions. Due to amazing sites like Wombat Sports we are even privy to the acknowledgement on some up and comers. One of my favorite organization in all of mma is the all woman promotion Invicta FC. As evidence to the caliber of women who have fought in the promotion all you have to do is look at the recent signees of their fighters to the UFC. With inevitable change at foot this prompted the promotion run by Shannon Knapp to find new talent, and that they have. A while back I mentioned some of the new fighters on the Invicta FC roster and reached out to one for an interview. The fighter is Amanda Bobby Cooper or “ABC” who was gracious enough to give me some of her time.

...Recently Amanda has been mentioned on calling out women mma legend Roxanne Modafferi. ...

Jedzrejczyk vs Benitez is the next fight coming up on the link Thirdpres posted.

It begins!

Solid 10-9 for Jedzrejczyk.

20-18, solid work. No more eye-pokes! 8(

30-27 Jedzrejczyk by UD. Looked like Benitez was hurt there in the third but Jedzrejczyk didn't go after her enough after that liver shot.

Benitez is the better kickboxer on paper, has better wins and losses are against better fighters, but Jedzrejczyk styled on her most of the fight besides a few punch combinations. It was a muay thai fight (except for the eye pokes). Literally no grappling besides clinching/leg dumps.

Would like to watch that fight again with a mic'd up ring and better camera men. Benitez only takes tough fights, she's a tank.

Benitez definitely took some hard shots and kept in the fight and had her moments but it was mostly Jedzrejczyk working her over with a wide range of strikes.

I definitely want to see that fight again.

In contrast, I feel like it's a pretty big deal, especially concerning Holly Holm. It was just two months ago when Dana White said:

Benetiz is too small to be fighting at 125 she fought Joanne (Muay Thai European title) at 120 pounds on the day.

In contrast, I feel like it's a pretty big deal, especially concerning Holly Holm. It was just two months ago when Dana White said:

Of course the UFC was probably using negotiating tactics to try and drive down Holm's price, but it appears that something has changed. Maybe the organization realizes they need more high-level talent in the WBW division. Anyway, it's a change in philosophy which is a good sign for fans of Holly. This is what he said on Fox:

I've been avoiding the heavies lately, otherwise I would have seen that thread and to clarify, the interview was from Wednesday night.

As I mentioned it just doesn't matter to me what is said it only matters to me about the fighters getting signed to the UFC. White can say one thing one day, week, month, or year and change his mind at a different point in time.

I just wait to see what action is taken otherwise I view it as some deflection from the fact that the UFC has been lagging in not signing some of the better/recognizable talent at bantamweight.

I saw White statements right after they were said, there were some articles floating around at the time. I thought about posting one of them but, as I have mentioned, I just didn't care that much.

I think there was a mention here on Thursday morning as well.

I want action not words.

I see your interest though but I read so much stuff that it has to be of more immediate interest to me or be important in a wide ranging sense to interest me.

But that is me. Other people will have their interests.

Benetiz is too small to be fighting at 125 she fought Joanne (Muay Thai European title) at 120 pounds on the day.

It is kind of strange. Benetiz has fought many times at 125 in MMA but, also, a good number of times at 115 in MMA. Her 11-7 record in MMA is like half-n-half on what weight she fought at.

Many of Benetiz's better wins in MMA have come at 115 but against opponents clearly smaller then her.

She definitely is smaller then the big fighters, overall, at 125 though.

What I see lacking in her MMA game is that she is the same fighter she was 3 years ago from what I can tell. The much smaller Tina L

Sarah and her team.

Aren't the two on the left based out of Florida, while Sarah is in Northern California?

Does anyone know how large of an entourage Invicta FC will pay for?

Last time I knew, The Frausto sisters were all training at CSA with Nakamoto, Sara D. and the rest. It's been that way for awhile.
