Official Women's Division Discussion #27

@Eater of Souls I had to go back and see what I wrote to you. It's just you're terrible at reading. I didn't lie I asked you QUESTIONS because of how adamant you write paragraphs about these women not fighting at 145.

Then I'm stating my position notice the lack of question marks.

Your questions were straw man arguments. This is both fallacious and intellectually dishonest. Then you blatantly made shit up, moved the goal posts and made more straw man arguments with others in the thread.

I can show you your own posts if you like.

Jillian’s cool, but it’s really not the best for the division. She was 5-3 heading into last night, and only had one memorable win.

Tiffany Teo got a $50k bonus for her sub over Ritu Phogat

I don't follow aw that much but I thought this was good last night it showas there's more than 1 good fighter in the us aw side. How do you see it as bad?

a 38 yr old with a fairly weak record coming in and smashing the champ in the 1st round makes the division look terrible, at least it will to the eyes of those that matter, the bigger promotions.

I'll put my Gianni hat on and say Penne was a good underdog pick in that bout
(plus grappling hotness and stuff)
Yeah, there were good underdog odds on her. I thought they were off, but oh well.

Jesus Christ that Peralta Vs Botelho fight was not a pleasant experience, I think stabbing myself in the eye would be significantly more enjoyable.

catching up on a week's worth of posts here

(not to throw more fuel onto the dumpster fire) My immediate thought after hearing of Ladd's cut was PFL but let's be honest here, Aspen hasn't looked like she enjoys the fight game for quite sometime now (plus I think I saw her soul leave her body during her last weigh-in)
even though WLW would afford her an extra 20 pounds, it don't mean anything if you're going through the motions... and there's easier ways of earning a living than killing yourself with weight cuts and then getting punched in the face. here's hoping that she's living her own life instead of someone else's.

this was the fight I was looking forward to the most this weekend - why can't we have nice things??? (p.s get well soon Jessica!)

At ONE FC Xiong Jing Nan and Angela Lee had another great fight.

Jing Nan nearly KO’d Lee in the first round. Lee gamely fought back taking it the distance. Jing Nan retained the belt via unanimous decision.

Earlier Stamp Fairtex put together an exciting performance. She scored a knockdown via vicious elbow and nearly got a submission. Stamp won the UD in dominant fashion.

"A twitter user thought it was a good idea to tag O’Neill and share his low opinion of her.

“[O’neill] is genuinely such a low level of fighter,” wrote the user who I am choosing to leave anonymous. “Women’s mma in general is low level but Casey is something else. I have no fighting experience at all but could still fight better than she does.”

It didn’t take long for O’Neill to seize on those words and offer a challenge.

“[Xtreme Couture] in Las Vegas. Tuesday/Thursday is sparring day. 3:30pm,” she wrote.

She followed that tweet up with, “Come spar me, that would be fun.”

Fun for her, I’m sure.

O’Neill’s coach waded into the conversation, attempting to make sure his gym wouldn’t be held liable for what might happen if a random dude on the internet sparred a UFC fighter.

“Just sign the waiver,” wrote Eric Nicksick."

it's time casey o'neill fought some actual competition, not some internet troll or whatever softballs she keeps getting from the ufc
