Official Women's Division Discussion #27

Bellator? Like who else even has a Women's Featherweight division besides Bellator and Invicta? Maybe PFL but that all depends on if Kayla stays because that's the only reason why the W.LW division exists there

UFC for Amanda's annual crushing off an opponent?

I wouldn't be shocked if she's fed to Shields at PFL's August event. Former bantamweight vs career Lightweight/Welterweight. Although ideally, she'd get called up by UFC to rematch Spencer, it would be Spencer's last fight with her current contract. Pam wins - she's got Dumont for her. She loses? - She's got Wolf in the roster, while Fee gets to finish her contract on a win, and possibly gets re-signed with the promotion.

Also is Megan is done with fighting, based on her instagram story it looks like she got a nose job and if you are an active fighter, why on earth would you get that?

I think she might be. Training pictures and videos are very scarce these days, she's making money with her streaming and Invicta gigs, plus any sponsorships she's been getting. I don't think she needs to fight ever again, as she's pretty much hit her ceiling already, and her last loss probably made her realize fighting isn't for her anymore. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see her compete again, but she might be done.

Interesting that she still has dealings with the UFC. Correct me if I am wrong but her last fight was the last fight on her contract right? I am not 100% on that because I don't pay as close attention to 145. There has been nothing about her re-signing with the UFC and to be honest I did not think they would re-sign her due to them most likely killing off 145 after the current fighters fight out their contracts. If she is re-signed then that would mean they are not killing off 145 and the Pam news has a chance of being linked with all this.

^ I don't know if my girl Yana is gonna make it. Her nose needs work.

Not official news, more so speculation from my part. But many of UFC's contracts in recent times, have been for six fights. Megan had six (Holm, Zingano, Spencer, Fairn, Dumont, Nunes) and wasn't re-signed, Antonina also had six (Kim, Modafferi, Pudilova, Chookagian, Lipski, Lee) and seems to have been re-signed.

Felicia most likely received a six fight contract too, so far she's had five bouts (Anderson, Cyborg, Fairn, Nunes, Dumont) with possibly one fight left in her contract. The UFC requested Dumont to remain at Featherweight, while they have Wolf and Nunes listed as such too. Fee is probably getting one more fight, and then re-signed (or so I hope). Me thinks they're going to offer Dumont some other bantamweight moving up (Vieira, Ladd, Chiasson, all have had troubles with the cut), or feed Wolf to her soon.

Shes still on the fight pass app which is usually my guide as to whether someone has been released. They might have given her a new deal prior to her title shot.

Ok, I just skimmed through an interview before her last fight and she said she had 2 more on her contract. So her next fight is the last on her contract. If she does not get an extension before the last fight she is a goner like Megan.

How could anyone think an Invicta champion would be fed to Shields who was dangerously close to losing to a can?

Holm, Spencer new signings it's not like they didn't keep Cyborg busy without a roster.
Pretty sure Spencer got that contract since she finished hers and they needed someone for the title fight. And they have made less then zero effort to sign WFWs. The division right now is Wolf, Spencer, Nunes

There's some fun fights here Pam vs Blencowe/Budd/Smith/cat they probably feed her to Cyborg 1st tho.
Budd vs. Cat for the next title shot is probably the way to go. Sorensen is a champ from the only other major promotion that does WFW so title shot seems the way to go

Colby Covington did it instead of fighting woodley. Given her relationship with Invicta I'd be surprised if they don't have some deal for her to come back and crush cans as the fw champion, don't see her looking for good compitition anymore if she does.

Also depending on how Kayla vs Amanda 1 goes they could turn that into trilogy
