I was thinking about Kuma yesterday in the context of fighters being "pushed" and the mystique of a UFC ranking. If someone like her had come into the UFC earlier this year, picked up an easy win and then been matched with a top 5 fighter, what would people say? Too soon, over-hyped. Yet the fact is she's already fought Jennifer Maia and even won in the eyes of some judges. Fights that wouldn't raise an eyebrow in Invicta suddenly become controversial in the UFC. It's as if a UFC ranking gives a fighter some super-power when in reality a lot of these girls are on a similar level.

No ladies on the Rizin card
 
Damn! King Reina finally getting serious about her fighting career. She obviously has a good (judo) base for fighting, but just relied on her mass to bully smaller, untrained fighters in circus fights. If she has stepped up her training to go along with the weight loss, she could become a force.

Gotta admire Lipski's determination. Not a lot of people would post a a pic of their smashed up face (while smiling) and say how they hope to give it another try. I hope she can get back on the winning track wherever she ends up fighting.

Curious if the Guadalupe Guzman that Romana Pascual is fighting is the Mexican boxer? Boxrec has her ranked #2 at Super-flyweight (115 lbs).

I don't see anything on the boxer's instagram suggesting it's her or anything mma related so I doubt it, but kind of neat if it's the same person.

I seriously doubt it. The fight is at featherweight

I was thinking the same thing, but then noticed that Roxy on the other side also looked as broad as a bus, I'm putting it down to wide-angle optics rather than an excess of cheeseburgers.
