This also re-confirms that the 125 tournament is next.

Great, enjoyed the last tournament. It brought us Brianna Van Buren who has proved herself beyond it. Will watch the 125 tournament.

I noticed Tonya Evinger was removed from the ufc rankings a few days ago. Typically when people are removed between updates there's a reason besides prefomance. I was wondering if anyone here heard anything about her situation: retirement, PEDs, cut?

think she had a 3 fight contract

lost all three

The best kinds of fights, weird ones; Asha Roka vs Stamp Fairtex mma rules.

I have no idea what to expect of Asha Roka. All four of her mma fights are from a month period in 2017, and she's just been boxing since. At the time of those mma fights she claimed not to really be interested in mma, and was just taking fights that were offered. Still, she strangled a Dennis Hallman blue belt, and looked competent in the few grappling exchanges she did have. She was briefly booked in an mma tournament last year before pulling out with an arm injury.

Not on their records but Stamp beat Uyen Ha, a university wrestler that trains at Tiger Muay Thai in both of their first attempts at mma. Stamp doesn't have the clinch technique of someone like Loma Lookboonmee, but compared to Loma is a physical tank in the clinch. Got to favor that over a boxer that's a bit more of an unknown, but Roka is a violent one.

Invicta should sign this lady before ONE gets her stuck fighting in Indonesia.

I've been wondering if/when they would get Stamp Fairtex to do mma in One. I haven't loved what I have seen of her, so I am not expecting much at all from this fight.

They’ve been hinting at it for a while in the articles on their website/app. With Angela Lee planning a permanent move up to 125 (although who knows how two straight losses will affect her plans at that weight), and no real divisions behind Stamp in the ONE Super Series, the move to mma makes sense.

I just can’t stand how forced the promotion behind Stamp is. They have her debut in a challenge for the kickboxing title, let her get away with all kinds of infractions on her way to a decision win. Then they make up the Muay Thai belt for her, which is what they should have done for her in the first place, but now they get to call her a “two sport world champion.” On top of that, Michael Schiavello is at his absolute most ridiculous when he talks about her, sounds like he’s having an aneurysm and an orgasm at the same time.

It’s like, jeez. She’s either gonna be popular, or she’s not. Near as I can tell, she wasn’t even that good in MT stadium competition.

I'm asking a small favor of anyone who supports Invicta and that would be if you are a Instagram
subscriber stop over at the page of Amy Montenegro who fights at Strawweight with Invicta & pass
along a positive thought or well wishes since her Brother In Law Von is dealing with stage 4 cancer
and his Chemo therapy has been discontinued so now it is prayers & support.

MIO retired so Shootboxing is gonna let Misaki Morita execute a bunch of teenagers so they can call her an S-Cup winner. Too bad, last year's tournament field was really good. Maybe next year.

Jennifer Maia misses weight at 129 pounds and forfeits 30% of her purse to Roxanne Modafferi.

Interesting...my thread about Leslie Smith being unhappy in Bellator and promising to blackmail them for more money if she becomes champ....it was removed by mods.
I wonder why...not sure under which category of Sherdog rules it fell...what do you think ppl?

Perhaps it was removed for being a Bellator thread in the UFC forum? I never saw it.

Perhaps it was removed for being a Bellator post in the UFC forum?

Nope, it was in the Worldwides.

...But I think I know the answer.
Checked now, they removed the article as well:
https://www.sherdog.com/news/articles/Leslie-Smith-Still-Fighting-the-Good-Fight-158301

My assumption is, Leslie threatened to sue them or something for either misinterpretation, or using her quotes without permission or something like that.

Who's up to ask her in her latest instagram post ?

If I were to guess I would think she asked to have the article removed because it would make life for her in Bellator harder. I was actually surprised when I read the quotes. Why would she say this out loud even if she was always going to do what she said she was. Bellator is probably also her last chance for a career in MMA. I am not sure why she would start things off on a bad foot.
