RIP Kondo's UFC career
<{1-11}>

UFC management about to give Syuri Kondo the Marie Kondo treatment.
<{danayeah}>
Well, at least she picked up a win during her UFC stint, unlike her uncle

Andrea Lee vs Joanne Calderwood would be a fun next matchup IMO. Although Andrea seems to have been a high profile fighter for ages now, she doesn't really have any outstanding wins. They seem like pretty similar fighters and it'd be winnable for either, so, it'd be a good 'un I think.
I also like how Andrea doesn't throw the fight away at the end like she used to in Invicta anymore, it's clear she's improved with experience, honestly I find it kinda heartwarming, like when the special ed student finally graduates ;)

From a progression standpoint, yeah, it's a good match-up, yeah.

From a promotional standpoint...not so much. Andrea Lee is one of the very, very few legitimate-looking contenders at 125. (It's basically her and the very underwhelming Chookagian)

If Lee loses to Calderwood, where does that leave 125? Calderwood just lost to Chookagian and her victory over Lipski sure looks a hell of a lot less impressive considering even the Meatball managed to do the same.

Better to put Lee against Chookagian in a number #1 contender's match or something.

Andrea says she wants to take some time to work her way up so I don't know if I'd jump her to a #1 contender fight just yet. Probably go with Davis, Maia, or Roxy depending on scheduling and the results of the Maia vs. Roxy rematch, then move her up to a #1 contender fight if she wins. Also noticed that Calderwood is somehow ranked at #6 without a single win over a ranked opponent, yeah, questionable. I'd be tempted to feed her to Joanna for her next fight at 125 or let Antonina run a standup clinic on her and put herself back on the rankings.

As for Lipski, I don't know, Macedo? Cachoeira? Kassem? Loser becomes the Elvis Sinosic of the division.

Wasn't able to catch up with fights till today. Yoder who I always thought was gonna beat Kondo (who I've never seen anything impressive from) but in such a dominant fashion really shows she's been improving which is nice to see, she could be fighting her way out of the ufc 115 basement soon.

Meatball also looked entertaining but like most here I'm going to s it just highlights how bad Lipski really is. I don't see anyone the ufc has on the roster she could beat with that performance.
Lee vs DLR was dissapointing, was closer than the scorecards but Lee striking is just sharper and while DLR got her takedowns her transition game wasn't sharp enough to advance to threaten a sub. Great thing about disliking a fighter though you can also hope they get beat up next time someone suggested Calderwood which is a great fight idea imo, Lee either moves into serious contender or Jojo gets back in the mix smashing the Nazi lover.

Edit apparently the whole fights are available on the Bellator app Kate made that look easy her elbows almost as sharp as tony Ferguson there that was a huge cut. That Kielholtz looked good in the standup and had some nice takedowns but ended both two rounds giving up her back, she got a nice finish in the with crucifix gnp tho.

Kassem vs. Lipski might be entertaining. Good idea.

I watched the highlights of the Lena fight (Bellator); very disappointed to not see any biting, hair-pulling or headbutts.

I couldn't find any of the bellator women's fights even highlights but I read Jackson put on a decent show beating Lena in less than a round and the fly fight ended in a TKO too. Love to see clips if anyone here has em or can suggest somewhere with highlights?

Here's the ending of Kate over Lena:

For watching highlights reddit usually gets them right after the fight. r/mma and r/wmma.

For full fights, depends on the organization. Bellator often puts them up a few days later on its web site & youtube channel.

Also try searching youtube (type in the fighters' first names, like Kate vs. Lena).

Within a few days you can also try:

In which fight(s) did Lena do that stuff? I want to watch.

Yoder's grappling has certainly improved, as she used to have zero ability to take anyone down before this fight and even less to actually maintain top control.

However, she also looked badly out of breath by the beginning of round 2, after dominating her opponent for an entire round, and was getting soundly beaten up on her feet by Kondo, the same girl dominated in the striking by Yan and knocked out in 30 seconds by Botelho.

Yoder won a split decision over Amanda Bobby Cooper that was a borderline robbery, with the vast majority of people scored for Cooper. Who can Yoder beat beyond a Kondo with zero grappling? Maybe Ji Yeon Kim if they bring her back.

Being both a Russian as well as a Jew, there are few groups I despise more than the actual, historical Nazis. (As opposed to the pejorative people call those with different political views nowadays)

However, that's a bullshit claim to make against Andrea Lee. For one, her ex-husband got the tattoo in prison. Joining a race-based gang is one of the main ways to survive there, no matter how tough you think you are. That's definitely true of a white guy in a Texas jail, where various Hispanic groups run those places, and would love nothing more than to skin some gringo.

Most people who get those tattoos in prison don't believe in any type of hateful ideology at all; they're simply trying to stay alive.

Even beyond that, the fact that she supported her husband against media attacks or overlooked his tats doesn't mean she is a "Nazi lover". I knew a half-black girl who mentioned that she had once slept with a guy recently released from jail who had a swastika tattoo. (He was deeply ashamed and mentioned he did it to survive) I can tell you from personal experience that the last thing she was is a "Nazi lover".

I guess Kondo's abs genetics must have come from another branch of the family, then

rewatching lee v. dlr (awake this time) - dlr needs to add some leg kicks to her arsenal and a less delusional corner...

Lena also tried hair pulling, eye gauging, head butting and got deducted a point for repeatedly grabbing the fence.

Heck, that's a full CV right there in one single bout :D Had been so long I had basically forgotten all the other dirty tricks...

Is it just me or did Cachoeira actually do better against Molly then Lipski?

Lucrezia Ria vs Chocolate Santos booked for an August Contender Series card.

Lucrezia Ria subbed Maiju (pretty decent grappler some people here wanted to see in the UFC) in her last fight, and Santos had a violent fight with Weili Zhang right before Zhang came into the UFC.

Lucrezia Ria vs Maiju Suotama (main event here, time stamped).

The Zhang/Santos fight was on the Kunlun app, but this is the best I can find of it now...some clips recorded off of another screen.

I guess Stamp or Juniku are fighting one of Julie Kitchen's kids next.
