Official Women's Division Discussion #25

I also find it hilarious that Cyborg got finished faster than all of Amanda's 135 opponents except Ronda. 145 is a dogshit division confirmed.

Aldo is the best fighter McGregor defeated and he was McGregor's fastest or second fastest KO. That doesn't say much imo.

You do not stand and bang with 1st round Nunes. I thought Cyborg would fight much more patiently than she did and give Nunes more respect, but she went back to her old brawling style and got wrecked. Nice work by Amanda on keeping composure after she got hit, then picking her shots and landing them with pinpoint accuracy. That low kick was vicious, spun Cyborg way off balance and opened up for the punch combos.

This was the 1st fight where Cyborg had to respect her opponents power and accuracy. Simply an amazing performance by Nunes!

I couldn't be happier for Amanda and hope this is the fight that finally wins her a fanbase.

That said, here's a friendly reminder that Valentina, who could maybe make 115 if she really wanted to, has held her own for 40 minutes in a cage with that wrecking machine

Has there been some alcohol involved in your evening?<45>

A fight night where I’m not bartending myself? Of course.

That said, the emotion is pure. I’ve rarely mentioned Cyborg on my channel before. Avoided it, in fact.

Cyborg vs Amanda went just as I anticipated. Once she ate Amanda's power, she wilted and shit in cage.

I’m not sure which thread I said it in, but I was telling people in Bdubs tonight, Cyborg beats people, they go on to have careers in the UFC. Amanda beats people, their lives change.

I reminded people Amanda gave Cat and Rocky hypothyroidism. She hits pretty hard and has the better boxing.

In isolation, no. But we also need to keep in mind that Cyborg's UFC opponents have been beaten more decisively by bantamweights than when Cyborg fought them.

It's unfortunate that now Cyborg haters will have a field day.

I'm a "Cyborg hater" (although "hate" is too strong a word) and this result has actually eroded much of the animosity I felt for her. Now that Amanda has put all that GOAT nonsense to bed all the cheating and battering of much smaller women is a lot less irksome.

Go in peace Cyborg. Our quarrel is settled.

Not sure if Amanda will be able to handle the toes of Megan Anderson, though.

Cat just forgot to say her ishes to ward off the power of Meegan's Toe-Strike of Death. If Amanda remembers to say her ishes like Holly she'll be fine.

I'm a fan of both Nunes and Cyborg, so happy Nunes made WMMA history tonight. I don't feel bad for Cyborg as just like after the Baars, she'll be back wrecking people. What a performance by Nunes that was epic!

Ronda/Holly, Joanna/Rose I, and now Cyborg/Nunes: how would you rank these three "WMMA GOAT slaying" fights in terms of shock factor?

You missed out big time :)

Maybe in a way, but I don't watch Cyborg's fights, no matter what happens in them. Not even now I will go to the replay, what is unseens stays unseen. I'll just be glad it happened :)
