Official Women's Division Discussion #25

This is all you need to see to know how good the UFC thinks these divisions are.

Val talks a bit about the change of opponents and dates of her fight with JJ/Sijara:

Fyi the Ham vs. Park fight will be on the first RoadFC card on DAZN.

If they inked a deal with DEEP/DEEP-Jewels I am all in.

In case yu missed it the Hilarie Rose vs. Jenny Serio fight is off CES 53 tonight. Serio pulled out due to injury.
Actually, Road’s event this weekend is their first on DAZN. However, Ham vs. Park will make history as the first all female event on DAZN.

If they get DEEP/DJ, it would be a dream come true.

It's like a parody of a reality show. A date is set. Four weeks later, interview Valentina. 'How did you feel when your fight was cancelled?' Val: 'I was prepared for the fight. Honestly I have experience with fighters pulling out. So I prepare for the next fight...'

New date is set. New opponent. Four weeks later. Interview Valentina. 'How did you feel when the fight was cancelled?' Val: 'I was prepared for the fight. Honestly I have experience with....' They can do a 'new' interview with her regarding Eubanks. Just edit in the same footage.'How did you feel when you learned she missed weight again?' Valentina: 'I was prepared for the fight. Honestly I have experience with...'

Well, WBW is arguably the worst division in the UFC behind Cyborgweight (with HW and LHW making a claim as well) while WSW has been doing great for a while now, so it isn't a surprise for me. I think more Bantamweights dropped down to Flyweight than Strawweights moved up, and that certainly isn't helping either.

Loma Lookboonme lost this morning by first round submission (armbar). Looked pretty nasty. Fast fight, and Boonsorn transited from the back to the armbar so fast, I didn’t think she would get it at first.

I read that, but still have not seen it. Need to fix that.

It streamed on Fox Sports Asia’s Facebook page. Probably still find a link on Full Metal Dojo’s Facebook, as well.

Very cool, thanks.

Editing to add:

It was. Very slick transition.

Haven’t watched this one yet. Wouldn’t be surprised to see one or both of these make a fast turn around for the Xx event next month.

Yeah that's in there. Yikes.

I was going to post something about Eubanks missing weight, but felt I was straying too far toward fighter bashing. I’ll just say I hope she never gets another sniff of title contention until she makes weight for a long streak of fights, and leave it at that.

Many people will agree with you. Many others, including myself, probably agree with what would be fighter bashing.

Kanna training with Ashley Cummins and the gang at SDCA

When did Smashley move from St Louis?
Sometime after her last fight. Transferred out there for work.

Word has it that RENA can't/won't train in the U.S. because fans would think she's betraying Japan. I wonder if the same will go for Kanna?

The MMA Gods are cruel. I want Roxy to win but somehow Eubanks will end up winning.:(
