Well, his oft-given award is Best TS, not Best OP. I agree that analysis is generally lacking, that there is a strong political slant, and that dumb shits eat both up, but neither analysis nor neutrality are necessary to starting or maintaining a good thread. He does do a good job of keeping the facts of his topics up to date.

That's the thing, exactly. I assume that every regular here reads the news. The point is to move beyond the headlines, but he's really bad at that because of his limitations. His whole gimmick is like a dumb person acting the way he thinks that smart people act.

I remember he once argued that black people are now over-represented in television. But instead of some SJW tokenism effort, it was because women in general like watching black guys on TV because they keep thinking about their large dongs.

Like I keep reading all sorts of fucked up shit in this subforum but I probably won't ever see the same amount of racism, misogyny, sexual insecurity and all around "I'm a broken human being" call-outs for help packed in the same post. It's funny how reading a few lines of text can give you an entire new perspective of the world and help you see that people can be THAT damaged and still be semi-functional in society.
