The most-common fallacy, by far, is strawmen (e.g. "really? White flight had negative consequences? So you're saying that all white people are racist because they don't live in black neighborhoods?!"). Note that logical fallacies only apply to logical arguments so a lot of them just don't come up. Even the ad hominem fallacy is only a fallacy if it takes the form of "X is a Y; therefore whatever X says is by definition false."

Dang, this is always tough. Gotta fill this out when I'm not at work. Only ones I'm sure about instantly is best TS @Arkain2K and Conspiracy Theory I'll just call it TCK even though I like him a lot. Early nomination for best poster would probably be either @Trotsky @HockeyBjj or @Higus but need to think. I'll be back probably tonight to fill out all of them.

This was tougher than I expected for a few, but I'm ready to throw in final picks. Threw a couple of counterparts because reasons.

Best all around poster-- I'll go with @Kafir-kun exclusively because I think he is the best "all around" poster. I don't talk to him much (just happened that way), but I feel he wins this.
Runner ups- @Higus @Trotsky @HockeyBjj @Jack V Savage @Lead and the man formerly known as @NoDak here. I factored in posting amount, as a couple of candidates I consider strong posters do not post often enough (@Denter @Zankou ). Surprisingly, for posters who post often, my fellow conservatives for the most part are taking a hit here. Something to think about.

Worst all around poster- There's so many, but don't really know. I kind of skim over the terrible posting that isn't funny trolling. I'll let you guys pick that.

Best TS- @Arkain2K hands down.

Worst TS- Wouldn't really know. Similar to worst poster.

Best Thread- Honestly for me it was the climate change thread a while back. There was more information debated, facts, resources, etc in that thread from both sides that I have ever seen anywhere. There was great discussion.

Worst Thread- Trump/Ukraine. I don't know how long the same people can keep saying the same thing to the same people, but we'll find out.

Best Ban- Greoric. Dude was smart, but used his intelligence to dishonestly argue white supremacy in the name of "science". The worst type of person imo.

Worst Ban- NoDak. #FreeNoDak.

Best Feud- Progressive Dems vs Moderate Dems.

Best Insult- @Sketch insulting @Trotsky about his questionable-at-best decision making when his girlfriend almost got roofied in front of him.

Most likely to end up on the news- @MikeMcMann will try to assassinate Trump if he wins in 2020. Mark my words. Man will be the guy who goes crazy that we read about.

Best Destruction- @Jack V Savage taking Wai's soul and transforming him into something unrecognizable.

Conspiracy Theory of the Year- @TheComebackKid going all in with the flat earth. Kudos to your fight bro.

Bret Hart Award- @SIRGAY HARITONOB! is so unpredictable that you never truly know where his preferences lay. He'll say something at times, and you just don't know how he really feels.

• Best All Around Poster: Definitely NoDak would have been close to the very top of my list. Two other posters who have been around for a long time have stood out for me this year, and that's @MiniCraque and @Higus. Honorable mention: @MMAisGod despite the lack of nick adjustment
• Worst TS: well, I instantly wanted to say @Amerikuracana and thus came here to post it, but saw many others had the same thought. Not sure if it is fair, though, because I have to say his threads are slow-motion car wrecks: you know it's wrong, but you still are entertained.
• Best Thread: Has to be the Brexit thread series by @Arkain2K. It's underappreciated in the WR and has become a bit of a mudslinging contest, but a thread that's regularly updated with all relevant information and continuous discussion over ~4 years - that gotta be a record.
• Best Ban aka the Rest in Piss You Degenerate Goblin Award:

This has to be the second wai ban via @Ruprecht. I was laughing out loud when that happened. I do think he should be back after some time out as he did make valuable contributions when he did not ride his gimmick too hard.

• Best Feud: @Trotsky vs @Jack V Savage for some hair pulling

Funniest poster: @tonni, I sometimes laugh hard and loud
Most authentic poster: @Gregolian, I just feel his rage irrespective of whether it's directed at toddlers, sex criminals, or gun pricing

From the entertainment of posters accusing anyone of disagreeing with the hate crime story as being racists who won't believe a black gay man, screeching about leftist bias mods, to the correct guys going way over the top celebrating when the story shifted to police investigating Jussie for making it up it was by far the best laugh and so many more extra curriculars going on in it.

We had RR temp ban Yorkist, then temp ban @Rational Poster. Then lounge bitching about the unjust ban, and RR banning @Fawlty who was resurrected the next day and this leading to RR's own de-moddong and then banning down the line.

That also had quite possibly the greatest moment in the year in the War Room, as Ripskater called a mod (@panamaican) gay, then tried to say he never called any mod gay, then that @computer fogie was gay and he had screenshot as proof. Oh, it was also the Jussie thread that Greoric had been behaving himself, but saw so much mod involvement with posters (mods trying to keep the chaos in control) he came out asking about making threads on the IQ differences between races and got hammered on for a full page by I believe every single mod who has ever once walked into the war room.

That thread was full of everything that made the war room the war room.

Kingstu was like a favorite poster of mine in like 2005, but come on, he was a standard although very intelligent proponent off run of the mill Milton Friedman / Chicago school economics. Basically old school Reaganomics and monetarism. Was no minarchist full on derpertarian but still. I would be curious to see what his world view is like now.

If it’s longevity, not sure Pan would qualify, it would probably be Zank if he did more than the occasional hit and run identity post these days.

No. Saying that X has been wrong before or lacks knowledge or has any quality imaginable means that what X says is by definition false is a fallacy. Saying that X is unworthy of having his arguments investigated because it's highly unlikely that they are correct is not strictly a fallacy, though it may be unfair to X or generally dickish.
