I agree 100% with what he said, and I've said the same thing many times on here.

Many of the "anti identity politics" group of self-labeled conservatives are actually entirely interested in their own brand of identity politics. They are also not all that interested in conservative policy, which is why they think @panamaican is a liberal. I've actually seen him called a SJW several times. Why? Pretty much just because he is thoughtful and empathetic. One time somebody blamed his SJW beliefs on his brown skinned wife. Keep in mind, this is an actual conservative. He just is not interested in their nasty identity politics games.

I've dealt with quite a bit of the same. I think that most of the time we keep the bar set very low for a lot of posters here, and only say something when it's way over the line.

They also love virtue signaling of their own identity politics.

The NC bathroom bill was pure virtue signaling by the NC GOP legislature. I live in Philly which has vibrant LGBTQ community I've never noticed a trans hanging the bathroom and I've never heard any of the chicks I know talking about it so I highly doubt this was a huge problem in NC that needed legislation. But it was a nice PR win to let the Trannys know they aren't welcome

The Border Wall is the same thing. I've pointed out numerous times that illegal immigration has been on the down turn for a decade but now all of the sudden a Border Wall is imperative?

My point was that those people aren't really Republicans or conservatives as those things relate to government policy. They might be on the right but they're really only single issue people and that single issue is identity politics.

I'm not sure where you are getting this idea from that I'm complaining about being called a liberal, or complaining that @panamaican is called a liberal. I am using the fact that he is called a liberal to highlight how strongly those posters actually buy into the identity politics that they claim to denounce.

He could have mostly conservative views, but if he does not buy into the right's identity politics, they truly see him as a liberal SJW.

I would say he's not.

He's signed off on the things that GOP has been pushing for years. But he hasn't actually proposed any legislative direction that is Republican. The only stuff that's he's actually originated are either based on identity politics or restrictions against free trade in favor of protectionism.

That many of the people on this forum that spend the most time denouncing identity politics, are also basing their own self-proclaimed conservatism on their own personal identity politics.

Identity politics are so core to their view of being a conservative, that they'd call @panamaican a social justice warrior liberal simply for not playing their identity politics game.

I absolutely have a problem with those accusations being made against groups of people. For example, a number of posters here commonly say that all liberals hate white people and are racists. Another example would be a number of posters here who claim that philia is part of the liberal agenda.

Accusations against individuals would have to be looked at case by case.

I saw somebody point out that you defending Milo when Milo said that adult men can have positive sexual relationships with boys. That's a stance that you would have to defend, nobody can do that for you. I absolute would not, because I think it's a disgusting thing to say.

If he actually called you a phile or accused you of something, that would be out of line. Did he do that? I might have missed it. I'm only closely reading posts directed to me.

Deregulation, anti ACA, Tax Cuts, oil exploration. Tougher border security. Pro law enforcement. Military wasteful spending. Cutting EPA. Cutting planned parenthood. Conservative Judges up our ass. As a conservative I'd think you would love him.

Funny thing is. Most the things I REALLY support him on are where he cuts against the repukes. They just happen to be big issues

About a year ago my computer got hacked and melted down. It was connected to shit that happened here.

There was a thread in the OT in Arabic advertising the sale of black market passports.....and it went from there. Let's just say that THEY didn't like the exposure I gave them.
