TBH, as far as American politics go, I'd only like to hear from American right/left wingers. I could give two shits about those (for the most part) who are foreigners & act like they are experts on our country.

Not a reader. But that movie holds a very special place in my heart and hardly ever do I see anyone recommending it.

I was just excited to see it (long after it came and left theaters without me knowing--I was a kid when it came out and didn't discover Willeford until much later) because I liked the book. Movie wasn't bad, but you know how it is. In addition to being one of my favorite writers, Willeford was a really interesting dude: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Willeford.

Don't know how you envisioned Mosely on-screen, but Fred Ward was fuckin' great. Excellent work by Baldwin too. Great set/costume design. Best use of Spirit in the Sky ever. Love that song. Can't rock it loud enough.

Me and my buddy would just but out lines at each other all the time. I'd look at him and go "courtesy van", and respond with "a million Brazilian dollars". To this day I'm bummed I can't find more opportunities to throw out the quote "A what died?".
