I had forgotten it was this week, Tuesday, until I saw this hilarious CNN article. I saw posts that his wife wanted him to withdraw because she fears he may be humiliated, but I do not see that in the actually CNN article that they cite, the article is linked in the tweet.

But they do say Walz is very nervous and his team is scared that Vance willingly goes to hostile media territory and does well

Walz is about to beat the shit out of a 40 year old child on live television.

Seems like a very strong response, but if so, that would probably end the Trump campaign. Just think, the fly on Mike pence is one of the more memorable things from the 2020 election build up. Mike pence looking like a robot certainly hurt Trump.

With Trump signaling he won’t do a second debate with Harris, though I think he should and will do another debate, however, this very well could be the last event per say before the election

I'll be honest with you, bud.

Kamala becoming the defacto nominee, and not only not crashing in the polls, but staying even/slightly ahead in the polls, isn't good for Trump.

After Trump got 'shot' and held up his bloody fist afew months ago, I said "this dudes got it in the bag"

After the debate with Biden, I said "Oh, this dude definitely has it in the bag!"

And then Biden dropped out, and I figured the dems would be in disarray. Not only did Biden beat Kamala during the 2016 debates, but everyone else did aswell. She was the least polled. Mayor Pete!

And yet...Biden dropped out, she stepped in, and theres been nothing but love. Her people have been doing a good job of hiding her biggest faults, but more than that, people want her to beat Trump, regardless of any faults.

I always thought Harris should have picked Shapiro as her running mate. Pennsylvania is a toss up and he would have helped there. IMO, Waltz doesn't bring anything to her ticket. The VP debate isn't going to matter.

It's the pandemic all over again. People aren't voting a candidate they like they are voting against a candidate they don't like.

Here's the thing, trump isnt getting shot at because he's some bold martyr battling the system, he's getting shot at because people just hate him.

Ding.

I LOVE Josh and he would fuck Vance up within seconds.

I wanted Mark Kelly. Navy pilot who legit shot at enemies, astronaut/borderline genius, and Arizona democratic senator in a (R) state. His wife was shot during a political assassination attempt as a politican, and he retired as an astronaut to fulfill her gun control legislation.

One of the few men who could just straight up say "Fuck you. I killed the enemy with my bare hands, went to space, and came back to fix my country."

In the fookin bag.

But you know what? Walz ain't too bad, man. He definitely pulls off the "energized grandpa who cares" character.

Appreciate the response bro. I know we on complete opposite sides of the spectrum from what I have seen. But it is at least fun to take a step back and at least comment on the political theatrics.

I am sure and hope the thread will be active as it happens. Just shows people are interested and wanted to hear a debate.

That is a good thing

She would have had more trouble in Michigan if she picked Shapiro. He's former IDF
Yeah Shapiro just came with too much baggage. I also liked Mark Kelly of AZ. But I do think Walz has added a lot to the ticket. Hopefully he can get past whatever debate nerves he has. He’s been prepping with Pete ButtiGOAT so he should be fine once he settles in.

That would've been a huge mistake. Between his positions on Israel and charter schools, picking him would have demotivated progressives, and at the same time wouldn't have helped Harris at all with conservatives who see him as an effete coastal elite who does a bad Obama impression. Not to mention that there's plenty of oppo on the guy that would hurt with undecided/moderate/low-information voters (for example, covering up a metoo scandal). At best, he might've helped Harris' odds in PA, but he also probably would've handed MI to Trump.

I think he was asked and turned it down. He wants to be president himself and he wasn’t about to risk his political future with a 4 month campaign to be veep

We can talk and still be cordial. Nothing wrong with different opinions, as long as we respect eachother. We're allowed to think differently.

Screw you , you commie !

no lol, that's why I appreciate your post. We have sparred but I enjoy the back and forth and it's mostly respectful. Do you really think Tim will win the debate, I don't see how. But then again I never thought Trump would win in 2016 lol.

To your earlier post Mark Kelly wouldn't be bad, I am from AZ and if he was running against Trump I would possibly vote for him, depending on his campaign. On the mainstream level of politicians I was hoping for DeSantis and I really thought he could of beat Trump in the primaries. His strategy and delivery was horrible though.

Oh, Walz is about to beat JD so bad that he wished he was stuck with his real mom.

The fact that I would make that joke shows you how much I respect Trump, JD and the BS they're willing to say.
