Media Official UFC tweet regarding the William Knight fight

One of the worst efforts I've seen put in by any fighter. He seemed utterly disinterested beyond being outclassed on a technical level (which, make no mistake, he was).

he had to take a shit during the fight and had to hold it in, that's secret alpha. be gentle sherdog

The most hilarious thing about it all was after the fight they had one of the Black History month video promos where they have different black fighters talking about what it means to them.

And Knight has a part, and he's sitting there telling people to try and "go for it" or something to that effect.

I fucking lost it haha.

That performance was probably half a level above The Running Man, but yet again The Running Man put a lot of effort in running, unlike Knight. So I don't know which one was worse.

I was surprised there weren't 10:8 rounds. Because there were about 2 of them.

Are u referring to Condit?

I think he was talking about Starnes-Quarry.

Obviously it was a terrible fight, but the UFC probably shouldn’t be throwing its own athletes under the bus on Twitter. Reminds me of that BKFC event where David Feldman took the mic after a boring fight and announced that those fighters weren’t going to be paid. Given that the whole card had pretty much no star power on it, I’m going to guess that casuals weren’t watching, and the smarter fans who were watching already know it was it a horrible performance.

I don’t have a problem with fans criticizing him online, but the UFC should be above that. You would never see something similar from any other professional sports organization. Just cut the guy and move on.

Knight just reaffirmed me that mentality is more important than physicallity.
You can be in your physical prime but without right mindset you can lose any battle.

He just had "A SLIP" moment - like Hooker against Chandler, Jan against Glover or Costa against Izzy. They didn't look like they belong in the cage or that they want to fight. Just stood there freeze.
He can unfreeze in next fight (if he will have any next fight in UFC) or he can be like that so we can officially call him washed.

William Knight responds to critics of UFC Fight Night 219 loss: 'I froze up, I f*cked up, I lost'

Knight was a slight favorite heading into the fight, but was dominated by Prachnio, particularly in the standup game.

Prachnio landed kicks to Knight’s left leg at will and outstruck him 79-8 overall in the fight.

The live broadcast team on ESPN+ seemed perplexed by Knight’s strategy in the fight, as were the post-fight desk analysts.

I was surprised there weren't 10:8 rounds. Because there were about 2 of them.

This won't be a popular take because Prachnio wasn't really putting his foot on the gas to really try and get William out of there or whatever, but if you actually read the text for the 10-8 rounds and apply it literally you can totally make a case for it in this fight if you're so inclined.

He bet against himself... <{Heymansnicker}>

I usually roll my eyes at conspiracy theories like this, but I'd be lying if the thought didn't cross my mind at least one time last night lol.
