Official Titanfall Thread

Titled Titanfall Expedition, the DLC will arrive in May with three maps that take place after Titanfall's campaign.

The promo picture below shows a sneak peak at a map called "Swampland." One main feature of the map is the large number of trees which allow you to wall run in crazy, unpredictable paths. The second map, Runoff, is loosely connected to Swampland. According to the developers, "it has a lot of pipes and water." War Games, the last map, takes place within the area titan pilots train in.

Respawn is also adding the ability to customize titans with decals -- an often-requested feature from fans. Also, you'll be able to meet up with new Titanfall players by using identical hash tags.

"It's supposed to span beyond just gaming sites," Respawn said at its PAX East panel. "You don't have to trade gamertags and make parties and be online at the same time. It's not a way to boost. It's a way to coordinate so you can choose your teammates."

So i picked it up for 360 played for a couple hours.not sure what to make of it yet, its not bad but it doesnt captivate as much as i thought it would. I have yet to have one of those holy shit moment like i get in battlefield or halo
 
Not sure how I feel about the DLC. Kinda disappointed, really. I was hoping they'd add a Horde mode where you fight off waves of Wyldelife or something. Even Modern Warfare 2 packed at least 5 maps into the DLC packs. Three seems pretty weak.

High end these days is under 1k and so what if you cant run ultra settings, would look just as good or better than console at medium settings. total cost for those four games is under $100 as well, and RO2, insurgency droped free map packs where titanfall charges $25 for season pass or whatever. Its not that hard to get into pc gaming man if your interested you should check it out.

Me too. I'm only a Gen 2, but several times I've seen a couple of the other team members Gen 8 and above.
 
I have been lucky, the highest I have been put into a lobby with is Gen 3 (I am still just level 49 right now), but most people in the lobbys I am grouped with are the same as me: working on their first time through, and then there will be one or two Gen2's and maybe a Gen3 in there.

And I have had a million "Holy shit" moments. Some of my most intense gamelpay I have ever experienced to date has been with Titanfall.
 
They really need to do something to address this flying jump kick BS. This is starting to infuriate me like CoD used to with getting kicked from far away while I'm shooting them.
 
Yeah, the jump kick should just knock you on your ass, maybe stun you for a second, but it shouldn't be an instant kill.
They should make it so it staggers you bak or knocks you down but you can defend from the groud with a pistol like when you get floored in CoD Zombie mode or something.

IMO the Dataknife should have been used as the fatal melee blow.

But isn't the Titanfall DLC much cheaper? I thought it was $10.

I'm always put on the shit teams against the higher gens, I still kick their ass, the rest of my team always sucks, Hate being the only good player on my team.

I am working nights for the next four days, so my gametimes will be weird. I will be online in the mornings for a couple hours, and then probably on again about 3 in the afternoon for an hour or two.

My tag is StabbyMcHatchet and Comms are communication headsets. (Turtle beach or whatever)
