Official Titanfall Thread

I've been playing it since it came out and I'm still having fun with it. It's more fun than COD and far more balanced. I'm happy playing it.
 
Same here, man. Loads of fun. Especially when you have a good group that communicates. Really loving the last titan standing right now.

NEW FEATURES (All Platforms)

Private Match (beta) - This is the first public test of our new Private Match mode. This gives you a way to organize matches with and against your friends, for casual or tournament play. Some features are unfinished or not yet implemented, and we welcome your feedback. A few highlights:

 
I really enjoy the gameplay in titanfall, but every other aspect of it is pretty shitty if I look at it objectively.

They released this game like 5% complete.

It wants to compete with cod and fb but it lacks dozens of details that those games have. tf is putting our updates to add these things that other games already had...

Just off the top of my head.. No clan tags, barebones game modes, barebones weapons, barebones customization, no leaderboards or comparison screens against friends or current match participants, etc. they didn't even have match balancing until the last update...it's just silly.

I like the game but having fun playing a shooter that's so barebones makes me want to go get cod or battlefield :/

Just updated with the patch, gonna see how it is and all that happy horseshit.

Shit man, the more I play this, the more I enjoy it. I game with a tactical group in Crysis 3, and one of the guys on my clan picked up Titanfall. It is so much fun when you play with someone on comms with you. You can co-ordinate stratgies and place your titans in guard mode as you hold points, etc. It's fucking KILLER.

I just wish there were more perk slots. I would love to run Stims and Enhanced Parkour for example.

I am wrecking shop with that C.A.R. SMG. Running counter weight on it and the HCOG sight, and just destroying fools. I have started to figure out my gameplay style now and I am typically either going positive or at least 1:1 for my pilot to pilot KDR.
(The odd time I am still going negative, but not that often)
Just before bed I went 13 and 3 with 20-something AI kills.

The smart gun is a hassle to use but I got so sick of seeing myself get killed with it in the killcam that I decided to spend an evening learning how to use it.
I got good with it and unlocked everything, but when the shit gets thick I tend to gravitate back to my run & gun loadout with the counterweighted Carbine and stims perk.

All I want to do is play this game but the wife has decided that she wants me to suddenly spend less time on the Xbox and more time with her. She does this every time a new game comes out that I love, ususally in November with CoD in the past.

My Titan is a machine of destruction too. I call them in and let them wreck shit, and if I am in the area and not engaged in pilot killing, I will throw Arc grenades and then launch the magnetic grenades at the offending Titan with my noobtube, which racks up a lot of Titan kills when the enemy is engaged against my Titan on autopilot, his sheilds are down, and my titan is firing grenades and cluster rockets at it at the same time.

Killer game. Best shit ever.

Edited to add that I also run the "Run n Gun kit" as my tier 1 kit.

^ Good stuff. Except for the wife shit, though. I feel your pain as mine goes through these phases as well, but I got her an Ipad and now she addicted to Candy Crush. Which works out well for my game time.

Anybody want to team up and kill shit tonight on Xone?
