I thought it was a bit of a dirty shot but not that bad.
Fury fought a little dirty in there all night. He lost a point, remember.
For nothing. Lost a point for nothing at all. Favoritism to Wilder. Giving him a point and a break.

The reason people cry when you're on about something like this is that punch was already on the way when Wilder turned into it. Not illegal. Wilder's fault. HOWEVER, not only did Wilder get gifted a joke draw in the first bout that you agreed with somehow, he punched AT the back of Fury's head and let his punch go when the back of the head was exposed in a clear foul and you never once mentioned it. Never once. Blatant foul in that instance. I've never mentioned it because it's part of the sport, but you're on here making excuses for Wilder straight away. You claim to be objective, but your bias always shows strongly in your opinions on the rules and how they should be enforced, my man. I mean, GGG beat up Canelo in the first bout and was gifted a draw, you had no problem. Fury easily outpointed Wilder in a fairly uneventful fight (save two rounds) in the first bout, you had no problem. Fury utterly destroys your man Wilder last night, exposing him as the Boys Club boxer with a God-like right hand that he's always been and it was dirty fighting by Fury? Even though he beat Wilder's ass from the opening bell to the towel coming in? That was a sustained beat down and a total domination. Clear and clean. Nothing dirty about it. Nothing.

Also, lol at the poll. It was 50/50 when the opening bell rung. Probably should have been closed then.

I picked Wilder and bet like $6M of my fake money on him in the Sportsbook thread. Play money, but that's one of the bigger losses I've taken there.

I'm not going to argue about this for weeks. The punch landed on the back of the head but it doesn't really matter does it? All I'm really saying is at worst it should maybe have not been called a KD. Even if it hadn't been called a KD the fight would have ended the same. It wasn't a distance fight so it doesn't matter. I just don't get why you guys act like the punch didn't land on the back of the head when it clearly did. The ESPN team all commented on it in the post fight show as well. They all saw it. Just stop pretending it didn't happen and we don't need to keep rehashing this.

Nobody is saying it wasnt to the back of the head holy fuck man.

You're the guy who said the rules say its OK to hit a guy on the back of the head, so get lost. I already schooled you on this.
"Holy fuck" you say, when all I said was that the punch was a rabbit punch in the first place. Thats literally all I said about it.

Wilders trainer is blaming the loss on his outfit he wore during his walkout lol

Do you have any critical thinking skills at all. You have your eyes closed and your fingers in your ears saying blows to the back of the head are illegal over and over while completely ignoring the HOW and WHY a punch landed to the back.

First knockdown was an accidental back of head punch.

I cannot knock Tyson's gameplan or execution. He did fantastic. Wilder looked fatigued from the beginning. Overwhelmed by the feints and, I cant believe I am saying it, pressure.

Watched this at a bar and everyone was stunned.

I don't know why people were stunned. That's what happens when you get mesmerized by Wilder's power. It was pretty obvious after their first fight that Fury was the superior boxer.

Fair enough. I was about lights out up that late and took my laptop to bed with me so I could keep checking in here, but re-watched one time in the Fury/Wilder II full fight thread which was another 27 minutes or something. I think it was close to 3 maybe when I finally fell asleep. Maybe 2:30, but I feel hungover and was drinking water. Sucks to get old.
Did Wilder say he's down for the rematch? I didn't see anything, yet.

I thought Wilder would win this despite that he lost virtually every minute of the first fight in that clinic Fury put on, minus the big bomb of course, but I thought he would land that bomb decisively last night.

Nope. Great heart, but Fury ruthlessly exposed his inability to deal with a larger, longer, stronger, technical, high-IQ ring general (high IQ in the ring, mind you, and only the ring). That's not an easy thing to be, but Wilder looked utterly lost from the opening bell. Fury is on a different level.

Onto the question mark with Joshua.

I will also mentioned that @Old Cat and I both thought it odd when they showed the locker rooms early on (an hour and a half to two hours before fight time?) and Fury was chilling on a couch and Wilder was pacing back and forth like a caged lion. Not sure how long he was doing that, but that was odd. Before he ever needed to warm up or anything. Nerves? Anticipation? Either way, someone should have sat him down, I think.

I actually thought Wilder looked OK until the 3rd round. His workrate was up from the first fight, he was hitting the body and getting his right hand in upstairs, his jab looked decent. He just had no answer when he started getting backed up.

I believe Wilder exercises the rematch clause. Joshua will have to wait.

Honestly, I thought the same. Wilder would have seen enough to slip in the right earlier and end it at some point.

Fury's level isn't A+, but it's higher than a guy with very limited boxing skills and a big punch.

At the same time, I think Fury and/or Wilder both stop AJ. Wilder and AJ don't have very good chins. They just don't. Everything buzzes them. And now that other fighters see that...

Good point on size, too. I mentioned that before the bout. It has to be very weird for Wilder to be in there with a taller man. There aren't that many on the planet taller than him that can throw a jab. Probably like 11. Fury just happens to be one of the 11. lol

I mentioned that I thought Wilder looked pretty nervous during the fighter introductions. He had that wide eyed "just did two lines of good coke" look on his face.

He was hurt from the get and didn't win a round, but the 2nd was closer than the first. But still a Fury round on two of the three judges scorecards, and we know they were dying to give Wilder any round they could. Only one could even act like he won the 2nd. The other two had it a complete shutout.

Back to the point deduction, what the fuck was that for? I couldn't even figure it out watching it back again last night. Wilder bonus point for a break/rest and being Wilder?

I'll go check it out again, now.

I don't know, he looked pretty out of it from the moment he hit the floor in the 2nd to me, and he didn't look that sharp in the exchanges in the first. Fury was in control from the bell that I saw.

No KD in the 2nd.

It has its own thread in the forum (fury/wilder II full fight), but I'll give that thread props and leave this here...

When I watched it back again last night I noticed both announcers just started screaming basically anytime Wilder wasn't getting his ass beat. lol

Wilder looks like he got hurt/shook and was done at 1:30 of the first round to me.
